- I shot this film of a small hill-town in Italy in order to give the rest of the world a taste of its enthralling natural and anthropological beauty, a simple exercise in non-narrative video technique.
The current city is over a thousand years old and home to one of the oldest universities in Italy.

Beautiful and poignant, my mum in law will be seeing this later today. Wera moved to England from Macerata in her early twenties and raised a wonderful family. I drove her back a few years ago on holiday and got to experience the town. Bravo for your fine work and many many thanks from us all!
"Civitas Mariae": a city historically devoted to the cult of the Holy Mother whose motherly serenity the place evokes. The documentary, through its images, rhythm and music enhances that spirit of dreamlike tranquility which is the result of centuries of interaction between urban and agricultural life. A perfect example of how the visual arts can bring out of reality more than the ordinary human eye could ever perceive.

Can you share technical details of your closing shot? Beautiful video. This would do more to boost tourism to Macerata that any PR brochures could ever hope to! You've given me ideas for an upcoming shoot in Cairo and Ramallah. Thank you.
I shot it as a timelapse and then did a bit of scripting in After Effects to turn it into a moving timelapse. It's too complicated to describe right here, but I'm hoping to shoot a video tutorial of that sometime soon.

The University of Macerata asked to some students to make a video, free of charge, in order to publicize a conference that will be held in Macerata next Year. We found a couple of images in your video very beautiful and we inserted them in our video. no, there is one in Corridonia though, which is like a 15(even less) minute drive from Macerata

L’università di Macerata aveva chiesto di realizzare a degli studenti il video in questione, a titolo gratutito, per pubblicizzare l’evento che si terrà a Macerata. Sottolineo il fatto che non abbiamo ricevuto un Euro . I ragazzi avevano trovato alcune delle tue riprese molto belle e hanno preso un paio di immagini. Sono qui a nome degli altri e dell’Università per chiederti l’autorizzazione ad inserire il video nel sito della Conferenza, e anche il tuo nome sarà riconosciuto nella sezione “CREDITI” (se siete d’accordo). Chiedo scusa se non avevi ricevuto l’autorizzazione prima della realizzazione del video, ma inizialmente era stato realizzato solo per scopi privati.
