used to have the boom 2 but the plus sounds so much fuller and has noticeably more bass but the boom 2 is definitely still a decent option.

The Boom 2 when properly adjusting the EQ on the app sounds awesome. If it had a 3.5 jack I would say perfection for the price. I am listening to this demo with the Boom 2. I am hearing the difference coming through the Boom 2. The demo of the Boom 2 is muted compared to the music I have been listening to
I have both of these and they are both awesome. 👍 I would suggest using the custom EQ as it really makes things stand out.

How good is boom 2?
Both of these are solid options and I still can't get over how much sound comes out of the smaller boom 2 I officially give it as much priority as I do with the JBL charge 5, I just feel like it's that d*** good. I know, like 5 people. I'd love to gift one of these 2. Boom 2 plus tackls all the short commings i had with the first, sound and asthetics like it just looks waaaaay better now!

I use my boom 2 6 days a week at work. Have had for about 2 months. The last week + I've noticed I have to turn up the volume 20% more for the same sound/volume I used to get. Waitto here from Soundcore customer service
Maybe the battery life is crap? Invest in headphones and don't overuse one device.

@@BARRY-n3z for the price it's a great speaker. But, to get the most you that "Bass up" turned on. Even with it turned off and I set the Dolby Atmos EQ to my liking the battery only last around 10-12 hours at around 50-60% volume. So, if you don't mind charging frequently it's great. I got an Zealot S79 to review (I just had to pay shipping) which retails for around the same price. The S79 is definitely louder and has more bass but, it's not clean. I will say with either speaker put it about 6 inches facing a wall or in a corner and the sound really comes to life.

Soundcore boom 2 is a no brainer in its segment. Bose soundlink max and JBL xtreme 4 both are overpriced af.

2 plus sounds better, but that's expected from larger speaker. Both are nice for their sizes.

@@aaron_vargheseBest way is use a free spectrometer app, then play a frequency swoosh through the speaker. This way you get the frequency response. Next you adjust the EQ in the Soundcore app, to steer against that. Then you reset the spectrometer, play another swoosh/sweep and look at the graph again. It should be much more linear then. I would send you my EQ, but sadly Soundcore only exports a QR code and I think it's generally nicer to adjust to your own liking.

Boom 2 is 100$ xtreme 4 is 379$! And although the jbl has a swappable battery and looks better and more scratch resistant, the boom 2 sounds better... I can buy three of these things with tax and it would still be less than the JBL

They need a firmware update that will raise the highs on the boom 2 plus

I agree, I own several different models of soundcore speakers, including two Boom 2's. The stereo sound and overall sound quality I get out of the boom 2's where their paid together is phenomenal. Today I received my new Boom 2 Plus. It is quite a bit louder and the bass is amazing but so far I have been unable to get the same quality of sound out of it I have been getting from the Boom 2's. I've tried tweeking the EQ for over an hour. It is a little lacking on the highs. Hopefully a software update in the near future will fix this issue.

@@rickyhill101 might it not be the case, that new speakers always need a little (play) time before they actually sound good? I also find that my ears need to get used to a new speaker before I am starting to like it.

Smaller one has more upper mid ptesence.
In regards to the Boom 2 Plus, the W-KING X20 plays louder with more detail & clarity, especially at louder volumes. It also is routinely marked down from $319.99 to $224.99.

@@d.g.o4410The X20 is a really good sounding speaker, especially at its price point. Some people call it the BB3 killer. I’m not going to take it that far, for one reason.
They’re 2 totally different speakers. I own both. The BB3 excels indoors while it’s plugged in , placed near a wall or in a corner of a room.
The X20 excels outdoors allowing the smooth sounding clarity at the loudest volumes to shine through.
