Good observation. I knew a Mother who was in denial even after the daughter told her of the abuse. She got pregnant with her Father's child and they threw her out. It's a really sad story.
This lady is completely credible....my high school girlfriend had similar experiences with her biological father. I was stunned and horrified by it then. And, now as a father of two daughters many years later, these stories still make my skin crawl. May God bless and heal this lady..

She will notice, but very typical of mothers, they would always stay silent fearing of the shame it would bring if the news goes out. Not every mother. But majority of them will stay quiet due to the dependency they have to their husbands and the fear they have of them.
@@btsimagine8186 I don’t think this is typical for mothers. It heavily depends on the culture, community and country you live in. I’m from germany and most women are independent from their husbands. there is also less stigma around divorce and abuse isn’t typically tolerated. Of course there are still many issues but I dont feel like you can generalize and justify mothers, not standing up and protecting their children, if they notice abuse.
There definitely are certain circumstances that opress women to that extent that they cannot speak up about abuse in any form but that should not be normal or typical in anyway.

absolutely. there is so much sexual abuse, beating, drugs, and mental pain that any mother that loves her children would notice it right away. If I was sad and pretended to be happy my mother would notice instantly and would ask me what's wrong let alone this poor woman story of horrible pain abuse by a horrible monster that deserves death & torture for what he did. there is no way she wouldn't notice.

That man knew the difference between right and wrong....and that man chose to violate her in the most horrific way. God didn't make him do that or even allow it. What I can't understand is why would a girl remain in the home till after16 years of age, in olden days when kids were suopisidly less mature, my mum left school and home to get a ship job in the. big city, why would she not run away and go to a hospital. I'm always very doubtful of such stories,since I watched a similar case on a talk show . The abuser was finally repirted, tried, found guilty and got if I recall correctly 8 years ,he had done about 3 when his daughter admitted that she had made the whole thing up. Both father and daughter were on the show, he had forgiven her completely, and they were back living together, how on Earth could you possibly forgive someone iif they abused you like that? I really admire how she doesn’t appear bitter either; she’s obviously traumatised and hurt but there doesn’t appear to be any anger or frustration in her demeanour.
