    I just got some free samples of foils. I can't wait to try them. Thanks for all the knowledge.

    I notice that putting regular nail top coat on some foils they will fade, although with gel top coat it
    Won’t happen

    Hi! If you find out if could thin the foil glue with water and work please tell us, I have mine getting dry and don’t dare to experiment with it. Beautiful work by the way, as always.

    • @scraperfect

      NICE! With the Best Glue Ever rather than mixing up a bottle of thinned glue, you can put a little bit of glue on a plastic cap or other "palette" and add water with a little brush (like you're mixing watercolors) and brush on your nail.

    I'm really curious to know how the ScraPerfect glue has held up for you over the course of 2 years. Any thickening? Would you still consider it to be your preferred glue for foils?

    • @KyongLee
      @KyongLee  5 років тому +2

      I haven't used it in a while to be honest because I was using up some others. Thickening is an issue though because you can always add more water.

      If you don't mind using gel Makartt is a highly rated one and it works great for me but something I found out is put a thin layer of a no wipe topcoat on the back of your foil cure and it will peel off perfectly like a decal..then just apply it to your nails.. that's my preferred method bc the Makartt works well it's just all the rubbing and I don't want to miss a spot

      I have used water to dilute. A little at a time. Shake and test before adding more.

    Thank you for this tutorial. When you finished with the foils did you apply a top coat?

    • @KyongLee
      @KyongLee  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, a water based one. A regular TC will crinkle the foil.

    • @KyongLee
      @KyongLee  4 роки тому

      I am not sure what is available currently but brands I have used are UNT water based base coat (which works as topcoat for foils just fine), Sophi, Lina Nail Art Supplies.

    Hi how long do u say it took for the glue to b dry in order for the foil to stay on as perfect as it did?

    • @KyongLee
      @KyongLee  6 років тому +7

      I let it dry about 10-15 minutes. Even though it turns clear after a couple of minutes it's still too tacky. You want the glue to fully dry.

    Do foils flake off into food, etc., as you wear them? How long do they last?

    • @KyongLee
      @KyongLee  6 років тому +3

      No, they don't flake off since you have a top coat over them. How long they last depends on your top coat. For longest wear, apply a water based top coat, let dry completely and then apply a good quick dry top coat that normally works well for you.
