The people who are saying that this guy didn't deserve this award obviously haven't seen his work. I watched him in Skins years ago and thought he was one of the most talented actors of his age. He was great in Skins but his work in the past year has blown me away. A very talented man and a much deserved award.
Amy Richardson so this is where I know him from! And I was wondering why he looked so familiar when I watched him in Fever Tulip! Thanks for sharing this!
He's an excellent actor. I read that the sign of a good actor is that you don't really notice them because they are so good and such a chameleon, think Gary Oldman at the beginning of his career in JFK, Dracula, State of Grace, True Romance. Jack O'Connell is the same. He seems to be trying to play totally different people and succeeding. I'm sure he'll go down as one of the greats. And when I hear he's doing a film with the director of THE best film ever (in my opinion) ....Heat. I can't help getting excited for him. 👏
His character on Skins wasn't much of a challenge for him though as, in many ways, he was playing himself. I think other actors on the show, like Ollie Barbieri who was playing a teen with an autistic spectrum disorder, had to work harder to be in character in my humble opinion.
lol he actually presented these kinds of awards for so many times, both Oscars and BAFTAs... And actually he deserves any one of these two for his talent. He just needs better scripts.
His acting always caught my eye in Skins, and so when I discovered the trailers for his film Unbroken, I couldn't help but be proud of Jack, and I recently watched his other movie '71 as well, and I was not disappointed. Well fucking done Cook.
I can only imagine people who were upset by Jack winning had wanted Shaeline to win for her performance in 'The Fault in our Stars'. But Jack deserved this award; he's worked extremely hard and gives it his all every time he's in front of the camera. Jack is extremely versatile, convincing, energetic and all around impressive. He's unforgettable. I'm proud of how far he's come since Cook!
I've even watching jack since skins and I'm not gonna lie when It was a proud moment when I watched the baftas of TV and saw him get his award :') he really doe deserve it! everything he's been in has been amazing especially 71, unbroken and started up but I also the less recognised films like the liability ect. there really is no limit to what he can do! I also LOVE James so this was just the perfect moment :D
What an astonishing group of nominees. Haven't heard much from Miles Teller, but Margot Robbie, Gugu Mbatha Raw and Shailene Woodley have done very well.
i focking love you man Lol i just love how real he is, most celebrities would prepare a speach before hand, and that's alright but i just love that he didn't like he's just telling this anecdote 😂
Lol he’s so confident and bad ass. I think he’d make an amazing Wolverine. He has the height and he’s the only one who can match the GOAT Hugh Jackman. Amazing Talent
an i can speak for all your peers when i said that we cannot wait to see what you do over over the next 10 years of your career lets have a look at their current work
Biased much BAFTAs? The Wolf of Wallstreet was a beast of a movie directed by one of the greatest directors of all time and Whiplash is an Academy Award Winning movie overlooked by up and coming British star Jack O'Connell.

Good luck
What was he saying at 1:19? Was it "I can speak for all of you here", or "I can speak for all of your peers?"

Does anyone know what the full extent of what Stephen Fry says at the end before it cuts off?
"Ah, so lacking in confidence." Being facetious, of course.
