Hmmm, it’s tricky to give you an estimate since I don’t know your height or body type. It will depend from waist to floor measurement. But what I always do is the more yards the more I won’t be bothered to going back to the fabric store

Hi there! No I haven’t tried it on bias. I think the fabric will stretch out. My suggestion cut it on the grain. If you want to cut a skirt on bias, a circle skirt is better than this.

Bonjour! Yes, it helps me gather the amount of folds according to additional width that I made for the tier.

for a double circle skirt (720°) would you multiply the waist by 4 for the tiers?

I think I used p5 or p952 foot for shirring or gathering

Hmmmmm I wouldn’t recommend zipper with this kind of skirt since the waist band is fully gathered using a garter.
