Denis Bouriakov Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall, June 28th 2012 Denis Bouriakov (flute), Naoko Ishibashi (piano) C. Debussy: Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune
Ya llyublu tebya, Bouriakov! Thank you, sir. This performance is a "kiss" to Debussy and to everyone who loves Debussy and the flute. Your 'echoes' are magnificent here. Overall instinctive feeling and understanding "nonpareil."
His performance is great --- but lets not forget Jeanne Baxtresser's and Doriot Anthony Dwyer's performances. Both didn't get to be principal flutists in the NY Philharmonic and the BSO for nothing.
Hope you found what you were looking for. You can always go to the Flute World catalogue. They have practically everything written and published for flute.
The pianist is also so musical and adds so much to the performance.
His splendid performance digs up old memories who are full of sorrow ,pleasures , grief and hope

Absolutely beautiful. Loving the darker tone color he's using especially at the beginning.
Denis plays this so beautifully. This is magical.
Ooooh! Yes! Lot of passion there! Fantastic!
Absolument magnifique!
Thank you Denis. This is wonderful, you are magnificent and you are and have been a blessing on us, especially for flute players.

I don't know how he can play so slanted like that lol
I guess he's not playing slanted.
idk either, i rly tried it and it just wouldn't work for me to play so slanted
His embouchure is way off to the side, so it makes sense for him to play "slanted." Many other famous flute players also play with a side embouchure.
@@kelliehenry2222 I realize that now :) 7 years ago I was much less familiar with how many different styles of embouchure there are.
@@Jenifer.flute20 Ahhh, I see the date on the comment now!! LOL
too little French
