Qu'il est doux de pleurer devant tant de magnificence... Je pleure dans cet océan merveilleux de Debussy conduit par ce grand maître disparu qu'est George Prêtre.
I love the fact that we all agree about the atmosphere starting from 5:00 till ~6:30... This moment is like an out of this world experience, we are instantly transported to an unknown place such as a fairy dreamy environment and the feeling is timeless. What a masterpiece. THANK YOU endlessly Mr. Claude Debussy.
George Pretre conducts the most beautiful interpretation of "L'apre-midi..", I have ever heard. His extraordinarily sensitive and expressive phrasing so completely brings to life the inner dynamics of Debussy's most perfect piece...a kind of miraculous evocation of a secret world of wonder, awe, and delight...
So! The orchestra is Stuttgart Radio Sinfonieorchester. Conducted by Georges Pretre : the best conductor you can ever find for french music (and also for a lot of other musics actually). And yes he conducts very often in Wien, and not onl the Wiener Symphonieorchester, but very often the Wiener Philarmoniker. (maybe you saw him conducting the new year concert in Wien, he did it a few times).
La précision des notes dans les mains de ce conducteur (?) est quelque chose extraordiunário. Il est impossible de ne pas aimer. Nerci funapeemusica , bisous
When walking in a deep Amazonian rainforest taking photos for an exposition I was thinking about this music in the shadows, when touching the leaves and observing giant trees with small butterflies around them.....
.Debussy has impressive sensitivity. Although we do not know what the name of the Orchestra and also the name Maestro Congratulations a beautiful work of the orchestra.
I don't know if you talked about an other version, but it's not the Orchestre National de France. ua-cam.com/video/52sGTrO7neg/v-deo.html It's they rehearsal, go to the description, there is the name of the orchestra.
