This is even deeper than it looks. People always come up to Conan and ask, "is Jordan real??" Now Jordan is using his platform to counter, "is Conan real?"
nah im literally still wondering is jordan real lmao. even more so now. i cant believe he still asks these questions to this day.
nice
@zzzmzzz4466 jordan did an interview with some youtube channel recently and after watching it I believe he is being 100% real
Loved the way you put it.
damn you hitting it
We know Jordan does because he is a deeply emotional man
Especially when sunlight hits his face 😜
the romanian flag on your pfp made me shed a tear .
With various tasks and responsibilities
Are you Romanian? Jordan has a few questions about your ancestors and how they pronounced things. Be ready for a 5-hour call any second. Provincia Dacia Romana.
@@RVered lol What if he's like... from Chad.
"Davide."
No hesitation. Classic Schlansky
No hesitation and no shame. The man is a wonder.
and it's even wrong at that :D I am Italian and we say it's the "David", not Davide
@@NishantVerganiI think he’s just leaning into the joke at this point
Put the workout disk in your Davide player
Surprised he missed on the opportunity to correct his pronunciation of Guernica, though.
Not a sleep machine! Jordan is actually offering a pretty trenchant analysis of Conan's strengths as a host. I found it insightful!
Yup no idea where that Frank guy is coming from with that? Is he gonna be a recurring guest cause that would be clearly a mistake. Jordan and Conan is such a dynamic comedy duo already, there no need for a third wheel even from Sonna and Matt who normally add so much to Conan comedy. Maybe put this Frank guy alone with Conan cause he stuck his nose in 3 times during the video and each time it add nothing and just interupt a unique and funny relationship between Conan and Jordan. Like both of them have to tell him to shut up in the end, and just let this beautiful conversation run its course.
@@nguyenhuuvinh6492 He's prob a producer of some sorts. But his dynamic is really weird here I think. It's funny when Conan and Jordan argue because they're such clown characters themselves. But a third 'normal' person mocking Jordan in such a mean manner doesn't add anything
@@nguyenhuuvinh6492 That's Frank Smiley, he's been working with Conan for as long as Jordan has.
@@nguyenhuuvinh6492 I guess because its kinda comedy nerd stuff to analyze bits and I bet they have done it as professionals for a loooong time?
Frank Smiley: great behind the scenes producer, not so great on-air commentator.
Jordan speaking on behalf of all Conan fans right here!
Glad I could be your 69th like 😊
Conan makes every Irish catholic proud!! 😂
For real who would've guessed it'd be Jordan saying it
He's a walking fan correktions
Id love to see Jordan on hot Ones.
that’d be the longest episode ever. i second this
There’s no questions. Just Jordan going into the flavor profile of every sauce.
“It’s actually pronounced Da Bombé”
That would be solid entertainment. 😂
He’d have to prepare his bum in various ways.

He'd need a lot of Preparation H toteables.
Jordan absolutely NAILED Conan in this video - the psychoanalysis was SPOT ON
fr it was actually crazy
But Interstellar and Gladiator was nothing to get emotional about , tho. They were not art.
@@michaelg7601 right. he needs to watch that episode of Futurama where Fry's dog waits for him in the past forever.
No idea why Frank felt the need to say "This is a sleep machine", when he did, I was genuinely enjoying listening to Jordan's point!
He desperately wants to be liked by Conan, always laughing loudly at his jokes and making them at the expense of Jordan.
Agreed, that was rude of him, and Jordan was saying nice things about not just Conan but of Hot Ones and their host. It actually wasn’t even that long. I was fully listening!
it was very insightful from jordan i’d say. that other guys is kinda annoying
I always hate it when others do that, it just screams “hey, i’m in on the joke too right, Conan? RIGHT?!”
I've seen this happen multiple times when they put some of the other employees in the room with Conan and Jordan they start piling onto Jordan and it ruins the whole dynamic.
“When he drones on but it’s a compliment, I let him go.” 😂
Which is interesting considering how Conan reacts to compliments from anybody else.
@@jaywinner328 Well, they've been together for 30 years (Jordan started as intern in 1994), so they know a lot more about one another than perhaps they let transpire while on the air.
Jordan has an interesting set of brain waves no doubt also. 😂
No more from you today, Frank.
"i have the floor!"
That's a genuinely interesting question from Jordan
It’s all the caffeine he got from his hidden coffee maker 😊
He's just being sarcastic because he's on camera here as well. He's not gonna be genuine unless the topic is really serious. I'm sure he does tear up when he's in private.
I like that he used Interstellar as as an example because that's the one guaranteed to get me, too
Hello there
I wish Conan would have answered it honestly. I feel bad for Jordan.
“This is a sleep machine” line interrupting was so bad. It was an insightful and interesting conversation. Also in show business, dont tell people how bad its going or they will feel its going bad and change their whole perspective and mood. Conan even addressed this on hot ones i believe
Yeah that was a good blunder
He failed the vibe check.
Conan's inner monologue is a 1960's insult comedian. Explains SO MUCH.
The magician's assistant Frank is actively trying to kill the unique dynamic Jordan and Conan have.
I thought the same thing. Putting the hat on, made it more "Bully-ish" for some reason. Jordan and Conan are just messing with each other.
Really disliked him in the previous clips too. Jordan is to be loved and marvelled at, not a circus performer that you can cajole and demean. GIVE THIS MAN HIS FLOWERS
SOOOO agree with you. Conan and Jordan are like the popular class clown and the nerd who make fun of each other but ultimately are good friends. This guy is like the beta kid who sucks up to the popular by bullying, and it's cringe. The only reason it was palatable is because Conan is so good at subtly setting the tone right.
I agree. He is there to provide a laugh track to Conan. He should be with the others in the sound cabin.
Super hot take, but I think he kills the vibe constantly, and even Sona who I generally like sometimes has this issue as well. I usually wish they weren’t there.
Frank killing the vibe
Yeah, he’s annoying.
He’s a pud.
He is the Conan's puppet and lacks autonomy
@@fkekw9194 frank is a bit of a twat
@@fkekw9194 Conan does not need a hype man :(
Jordan is a deeply emotional man, he can be moved to tears from warm sunlight on his face
And the smell of damp moss in the woods
He prepared his body in various ways to experience
Let it be just conan and jordan.. nobody interrupt them
I actually found it incredibly interesting when Jordan was laying out what he thought about Conan and the Hot One's appearance.
Same here
So Jordan “out of character” is exactly the same, but his voice goes up an octave and he is far more excited than when he’s being filmed for a bit
There's a reason Conan wanted to put him on camera years ago. Jordan may ham it up sometimes for laughs, but he isn't playing a "character", that's really just how he is. He's the perfect straight man and it works so well in contrast to Conan.
He is absolutely real and knows how to play up things for a bit!
During the Italy trip I thought him rubbing the wine glass on the table was a bit (his continuing to do it was absolutely a bit) but then I saw an old NYC video of them and he did the exact same thing on a wood table. It only went unnoticed since there was no noise.
It’s always been real!
Underneath all the Conan's "not having it", Jordan is absolutely lovely here, and on point. Sometimes I feel like Jordan understands Conan better than anyone. And, Conan's Hot Ones episode IS a masterclass.
As much as I've enjoyed Conan's and Jordan's banters for all those years, I also sometimes wonder why Conan almost never can get even a bit serious. Jordan brought up some good points here and seemed far more genuine than usual when they talk about random stuff like toilet paper. It would be interesting to see them for once having a more normal conversation where Conan doesn't just turn everything into a joke.
On Inside Conan where Conan isn't there Jordan's appearance is like this. He was also interviewed by Collider recently.
You can watch things like the full Japanese dinner episode. They're actually very boring together most of the time.
Conan is very serious -- about comedy. I truly believe Conan's "normal" is when he's most revelling in an absurd comedic premise and taking it as far as it can go. Many comedians / entertainers put on a persona when they perform and then go back to "normal" in private. Conan seems to just be the exact same guy in his private life as he is on stage.
@@tomoakley760 Hard to know really because we can never really see Conan "in private". He is just one of the greatest conversational comics of all time, and anyone interacting with him gets drawn into it. We of course see the recorded bits that are released. He will of course snap out of it to have real conversations, but he sees so many openings for jokes, and for the most part people want him to do it, so its tolerated and even encouraged.
It’s because it’s recorded for entertainment. I’m sure they have serious discussions lmao, it’s just none of our business
I actually wish there was no interruption towards the end here
We all did,
This XM producer really embodies the stereotypical hollywood producer trope well
He's been on the show since way before XM, during the Late Night days.
I dunno, he's not smoking a cigar and calling some woman "toots" and telling her to show some skin.
FOR REAL SERIOUSLY WHO THE F*CK EVEN IS HE OR DOES HE THINK HE IS ????? GET THE F*CK OUT OF THE ROOM !!!!!
@@Onio_ WHO GIVES AF WHY THE ACTUAL F*CK IS HE EVEN THERE ????? READ THE COMMENTS NOBODY KNOWS HIM AND EVERYBODY HATES HIM
1. Sincere Jordan freaking me out. 2. Shudddddddddup Frank!!!! 3. Little by little Conan continues to transform into Gordon Ramsay.
Jordan got him there... Conan is so uncomfortable with his own emotions he was coming off unhinged trying to deny he might get emotional.
lmao I read this comment copied by a bot first, promptly realised my mistake and switched the likes around.
Its a defense mechanisme
I can't imagine never getting teary at a movie, book, painting, song, SOMETHING artistic, even if it's something nontraditional and very unique to the self. To say art has never been able to pull serious and deep emotions out of you sounds like such a depressing way to live. But it's UA-cam so someone will be along shortly to vehemntly take the opposing position and insist that art is only for mild and momentary entertainment and should never be taken so seriously.
@@Kris-wp3fmyou're right, art is just entertainment.
@@snackDaddy3.14no
Jordan totally respected and appreciated how Conan remembered that specific shot from Gladiator.
Jordan complimenting Conan was so wholesome, was prepared for a wholsome Conan reply, Frank guy ruined it and Conan is too nice and perfectly showcases his ability to make guests look good by making a joke out of it instead of calling him out for it
Jordan complimented Conan better than all of us fans ever could!
The best way to get Conan to devolve into a bunch of bits, remark about how he’s always doing bits
Exactly
This is the first time Conan looks like he’s playing more of a character than Jordan. Jordan is more the average guy here. Their dynamic is always interesting. It’s probably such a mix of performance and reality for both of them and they know when to play it differently.
That might be the first of Jordan's ramblings where I wish Conan didn't cut him off. Very well said
Jordan is like a patient parent here with the hat and all
The way Jordan said "Da vi de" 😂
Why is this video lowkey wholesome
It's high-key wholesome
ikr
It's nice to see Jordan prodding Conan for once instead of the other way around 😁
More than once now, Jordan’s entertaining monologue has been interrupted by accusations that he’s putting the audience to sleep. I get Frank is trying to play the goalie and save the audience from getting bored, but for gods sake, Jordan went on a 20 minute rant about toilet paper, and it was one of my favourite episodes ever. Jordan always manages to balance quantity with quality. The man can do no wrong.
Jordan raises a valid point, some comedians have had tragic personal struggles while keeping a funny face towards the public.
Robin Williams... Full throttle.
I'm a simple man. I see Jordan, I watch the video, I like the video.
Jordan asking good questions, making good observations about "Hot Ones," and Conan wants no part of any of it lol
Jordan and Conan together never disappoints. Davidaaaayyy!
Sincere Jordan is scaring me.
He must be dying and he wants to get to Conan and Machio before he passes
Jenny Jones!
@@emu_warriorwhat? You don’t think he can get to Macchio? He can get to Macchio! If he wanted to he could get to Macchio, of course he could get to Macchio.
I know! It's freaking me out a little to see him being normal and not awkward. 😂
IT'S MAACHIO!!
Jordan Schlansky= instant watch
@2:40 To be fair, when Conan went to the Armenian Genocide Memorial with Sona, he did not crack any jokes. He was solemn and respectful during their visit. I just can't contain my laughter that Jordan can't catch what Conan is trying to say throughout this video 😂
The speed at which conan hears Jordan, thinks up a funny response, crafts a way to deliver it, and delivers it is remarkable. Its instantaneous
is this frank guy just here as a laugh track and a vibe killer? he looks like one of the people in a group who make jokes feel more of bully material.
I don't just cry at movies or art, I also cried when Jordan complimented Conan and his work.
Stop interrupting frank!
Put a comma after ‘interrupting’ so it’s more clear
@@coleeckerman1390 He's saying we need to stop "Interrupting Frank"

Jordan is indestructible. He was spot on analyzing Conan.
Jordan is SO right here. He's very insightful.
Did I just watch Jordan genuinely compliment Conan's work...?
...I... I think I'm gonna be sick!
Jordan brings me so much joy whenever I see him with Conan. I really appreciate that over the years they have not overdone Jordan's appearances they have timed his appearances masterfully
This is the most "normal" I have seen Jordan. I actually loved his opening question because I've wondered the same. Conan is always so engaged he doesn't seem to have an off switch. The only time he's shown vulnerability is when he did his final Tonight Show send-off, it was sobering.
We don’t need the other guy. Just the two of them.
these guys are such polar opposites and you can see them growing to understand each other more and more every single time they speak.
honestly it’s beautiful
This is the most honest conversation we've ever seen between Jordan and Conan
I love that these two wonderful people stuck together for so long. It may seem like they don't really like each other, but every conversation they have reveals something new and interesting through the way they interweave humor (Jordan's dry ironic one and Conan's goofy but well timed jokes) and subtle depth.
hes full throttle, when hes not on the show, hes literally on pause, and then returns to full throttle.
According to him, he's like this on with his wife and kids too. Pretty much to the point where they get annoyed by him constantly doing bits.
@@kaladinstormdepressed i meant Jordan
😂 I guess it' can be the both of them
Jordan's analysis of what Conan does was spot on! It was unfortunate he got interrupted.
Jordan speaking for all of us on this one!
Five minutes? FIVE MINUTES??? Come on, we need much more than that of Conan and Jordan!!!!
Frank is such a little toadie
Jordon's hat reminds me of Pagliacci, an iconic figure and titular character in the classic Italian opera by librettist Ruggero Leoncavallo.
This bit right here has me in tears, you two are angels sent to deliver me from my pain, GOTTA be.
What's fantastic about this, is I'm fully convinced conan is actually a very deeply emotional person, but he's just absolutely mastered masking it with humour 😭😂
why is this 3rd guy there
He is always there when Jordan is on, and he should just stay away.
He has added zero substance in every clip of these two. Just there to pile on Jordan kinda like the aaron beyart guy, and really is talentless and uninteresting
Someone has to laugh to encourage Conan.
He’s Jordan’s side piece

He is the producer
"I stared at Guernica for like half an hour and thought, "I don't get it. Where's the jokes?" No offence to Jimmy Fallon but you don't get references and jokes like that from him. Gold!
Irish phobia of emotion😂
1:34 "He's got wheels on his back" that's what I exactly thought when I watched it for the first time.
I secretly think he’s patronizing Jordan for asking a vulnerable question and instead of being honest he’s making Jordan look like a shmuck, and Conan look impervious to all things. Which is their bit. The best part is, you can tend to know Conan is putting it on, but I genuinely think Jordan honestly believes Conan.
"Curse? Curse? Blessing I day!" 😂😂😂😂😂 The skill to turn ANYTHING into a funny joke! ANYTHING! Our dear Robin Williams had lighting speed thinking for jokes and had that skill too: anything could become a joke! The guy was a monster. But Conan is very close to Robin if not on the same level. They have different training and different delivery styles, of course. It is a blessing.
What a treat to have Jordan again in the podcast! These two together rock! ❤
I love seeing them argue, but it’s really nice to see Jordan compliment Conan.
So far, the most serious I've ever seen Conan is either on the remote episode when he goes to Armenia with Sona and they visit the war museum and Sona starts crying, and a podcast episode where Sona talks about Conan's self distructive habits and a moment Conan said he felt sad and sorry for himself. But if that's the extent of his sadness / seriousness, then he is a really unusual person, because even in those few moments he still makes jokes. I've long, long wondered what he talks about to his therapist, whether is he truly 'real' with him / her, or is he still cracking jokes even while he talks through his pain.
I really believe the main reason why Conan is so insanely quick with his comebacks and amazingly random riffs is because he does bits all the time even off camera. We often think in retrospect ‘I should have said that’ long after a conversation/banter is over. With Conan, he probably has like 10 different smart comebacks/wits ready for any conversation because it’s right at the surface of his brain. Another reason should be him constantly writing and doodling.
"No one wants to turn off Willy Wonka's chocolate fountain."
Children are drowning in that fountain, Conan.
I am moved by various forms of media.
😂😂😂😂
Actually made me laugh out loud with this
Jordan bring up a good point. All these yrs of watch Conan I've never seen him emotional in any way.
Think maybe the one time was Robin Williams passing
I do remember him nearly breaking after addressing events like school shootings or such and also, at the end of his tbs show's farewell spech.
Well how would that be funny?
He's a comedy guy.
This is the equivalent of saying "How come we've never seen Robert Deniro taking a dump?"
Because his job isn't to show himself taking a dump.
I can't get enough of Conan and Jordan!!! :D TY
Jordan’s appearance and viewership spikes ❤
This is the first time Jordan comes off as more human than Conan
Whos this guy who they have dragged on to the show just to provide a background raspy laughter? I just don't feel it.
The guernica got me. This reminds me of that origin story skit where he woke up in the hospital funny. Can’t stop it.
Obsessed with Davide 😂
04:21 I dislike when the other people on the Conan podcast try to imitate Conan when they interact with Jordan, because they don't get the essence of their relationship, and they're not as funny as Conan or Jordan. Like dude, let Jordan do his thing, get out of here with that party hat nonsense.
It’s the first time where Jordan looks like the normal one.
So nice of Jordan to invite Conan on his show
For the first time I completely agree with Jordan and sympathize with his side and that's exactly what I would ask Conan
I am deeply fascinated by the Jordan/Conan dynamic and really cannot decide what to think.
Shame about the laughing man! The rest is perfection, as always :-)
amazing clip! just another layer of the Conan and Jordan dynamic we discovered. it is weird how i see myself in both of them 🤣
Well, Conan did get a little emotional on the show when he was reflecting on the passing of Paul Reubens.
And Norm McDonald
This is the realest version of Jordan I’ve ever seen. You can tell where the skits character comes from
"Blessing I say... BLESSING!!!"
The ending of „The imitation Game“ brought me to tears 🤷🏻♂️ nothing to be ashamed of✌️
Man do I love Conan and Jordan probing the depths of the admiration they share for one another.
Cue Conan riffing on them “probing each other’s depths”!
That was actually such a good description of Conan, his work and Sean's show.
i think conan was trolling him the whole time. he's obviously cried before. and with the questions asked are so over the top, that conan went over the top in answering them in the opposite direction.
The guy at the side putting on Jordan's hat is a snide follower of whatever Conan thinks is funny. Conan and jordan on their own is funny enough.
I actually like that Jordan gave genuine props to Sean Evans, he really is a great host, even if Jordan didn't say or didn't know his name, lol
I don't like when Conan goes into this mode and starts trying really hard. I like natural Conan.
