Ohh wow thankyou for sharing, gosh I listen to how people were m I was thankfully born in 67 over here in England I suppose we've, well me especially have had a pretty sheltered life, we dont realise how poor people were, we wernt wealthy by all means, my dad did 2 jobs , a day job n driving most of night n as young children we never realise r appreciate wot we had ,, my mother worked too,,iv always wished I was alive in the 50,s etc because of the music ,, we saw them in magazines n listened on radio, bought records n u dont n never gave it a 2nd thought how hard I mean really hard it was for musicians to make it in those days ,,, thankyou both , very educational xx

Stan Perkins the son of Carl. What a polite & gracious man.
Carl Perkins Cash Presley...backgrounds were coming from poor families. No silver spoon in that group. They had to go out there & perform & perform they did.
Rags to Riches. Non fame to fame. Changed history & made their mark.
    Looking forward to Pt 2.

Carl Perkins was so humble.I remember saw him in Paris,it was in 1996 at the "Elysée montmartre"a really good show that i have always in my memorie.
And you're right men,his son speak calm just like his dad.

Absolutely loved this video as much as your Elvis related videos Billy. Stans stories are amazing. Thank you for this.
My love for Sam Phillip's Sun records, and its 50s recording artists is almost as great as my love for Elvis.
I hope you plan on doing similar videos with interviews by other singers from Sun records kids as well if possible, also to interview Sam Phillips 2 boys. The stories that all the family members of these Legends have to tell would be just as amazing, and awe inspiring to hear as Stans has been. Thanks again for this Billy, this will be watched a few times by me. The wait for the other vids is going to be frustrating, I CAN'T WAIT LOL

((🤗)) I always love to hear true stories as this being me only born in the 1960 I’ve Halfway Experience seeing and hearing how a lot of those time were ..my dad was a Carl Perkins fan along with many others and has still got all those different famous artists albums that he played continuously.. so I can relate every wards of these story memories in my mind just as clear as day ..my dad first see Elvis & Carl Perkins at magnolia gardens in Huston Tx, in 1954 . He was so close up to elves that my dad was also a good looking man . That when the girls eagerly wanting elves autograph.. that elves would look at my dad with that lip smirk smile of his .. and jokingly reach out and tap a girls four head with his Pencil to wait her turn and the girl will faint because she had got touched by Elvis then smirk back at my dad like did you just see this 😂Lol also he said elves went swimming in the Sanjay Santa river to bath and cool off as normal because he was just getting started out

Carl Perkins was a nice looking man. Even young.
I can associate with picking cotton. My daddy picked cotton in Roundrock Georgetown texas. He talked about being next to the blacks picking it too. Daddy used to sing the songs he learned from blacks in the fields. But daddy only played a piano. Lol

Since i came back from graceland on the 31rst a good freind of mine called me over and said he had something to give me because i was the only person he knew that would appreciate it and would seek out someone who knew more about it. He gave me a tote that contains a binder full of elvis cards that are cards/ pictures of elvis from every walk of life. It also contains many authentic photos of old country music singers that are signed by them. The 1rst one i picked up is of 3 young girls i believe the name of the chessette sisters. I googled them and it stated that they were on a equal bill with elvis at the Louisiana hay ride. Im seeking help spa guy to see if you know of anyone who is a expert who may be able to give me some insight on these photos. Every photo is signed and made out to a fellow by the name of pete hunter aka tator pete who was a radio jockey in Houston Texas in the 60's. I also have tator petes authentic radio jockey license wich is framed and dated in 64 i believe. If you can help me plz email me and mabe we can exchange numbers and i can facetime you and show you what i have. I have alot of signed authentic photos! Not copy reproductions! Email me at rockyjez360@gmail.com if you can help me out. This stuff needs to be in a museum im sure of it! Thx again buddy!!!

Billy ...you should ask Stan if he has any fishing stories with his Dad, Johnny Cash and Johnny Horton....I know they fished alot back in the late 50's early 1960....
