When you think about it , it’s kinda amazing to follow in the footsteps of someone ... Elvis sure was pretty special .... good job following spa guy 😂... thanks for sharing 🤗
Thank you so much,Billy.Trey.Richard crofts.Ashley .so appreciate your hard work I never knew about this building so I’m still learning all the time.wow what a place to see.loving all your investigations.may God continue to bless you all. Have a great weekend friends. England 🇬🇧
Many thanks to all kind people who allow Spa Guy ,Ashley & others in, to do research on the King. We in the Far East Asia see what it was like when Elvis was there. Priceless!
Fabulous to see where all these great songs were recorded... thanks to you Billy and Trey for sharing this with all us Elvis Presley fans..EP forever 💞
Yes there should be a push to also call Elvis the Pelvis just E. He'd get a letter in the alphabet. Market E & the world would know it's Elvis Presley. T doesn't ring a bell but if ya put Mr T then it does. But E even without the Mr E should bring the world to know E = Mr Elvis Presley. Come on EP Enterprise let's tell the world what E represents & who. Well as it is now Elvis fans if they see letter E they will think of Elvis. E & x&os love ya Elvis on Valentines Day Feb 14.
Such venues where historic American music was recorded should be protected, not remodeled or destroyed. This was yet another spot on my 'wonder what's happened to it' list. Thank you so much for the admission and tour. Glad the building is still intact at least. Knowing how you work now, I feel sure there'll be a sequel.
Thank you so much guys! This history will be more and more precious as the years disappear. Elvis fans are very grateful to you Billy. I especially enjoyed seeing my buddy D.J. Another one that’s gone too soon. 💜
Thanks again for posting this Billy. Love old Buildings just because of the history mostly, but beauty as well. This one certainly has some history. Love those old Elvis shots you showed as well. What a Studio too; so glad it is still around to see.
That's so exciting to get to see things like this that I for one didn't know about . Thank you Spa Guy and Trey Miller for taking us along !! I love it !!
Sing it Spa Guy! Great songs and so much new info! Thank you so much! I love to collect the old soundtrack albums and so cool to see where they were recorded. Thanks to Trey & Ashley too!
Another reason why he did his portion of the show on September 9, 1956 from Hollywood was because he was there filming “Love Me Tender”. Elvis as you know had a fear of flying. Especially after the emergency landing in April 1956.
Brilliant. Spa Guy does the work no one has ever done because IT’S HARD WORK!!!!!! Spa guy singing with a gorgeous voice speaking too. Everyone should listen to Spa Guy here. Get a remedial course in manners! Love ❤️ this! Should this building have been preserved? Yes!
All them first sessions you mentioned are all on the 50s masters cd box set which went up for a Grammy fantastic set. Great to see where all them songs were done. Thanks for that SPA GUY
There's a guy still kicking from back in Elvis day named Dion. He has so much material from 50s to present times. But he did a record/cd on honouring songs/musicians/entertainers from the early 50s rock songs. There's a vid on YT where he expands on this cd. Talks about guitars & guitarists & singers. On the cd Dion picked Elvis hit Jailhouse Rock. Wow recorded by Elvis right here in Radio Recorders Studio. Assumed Elvis recorded only in Memphis Nashville or NYC in the early days. Know ya did good vids on Stan Perkins & on side note Dion picked to sing Blue Shaude Shoes. Dion said Carl Perkins was a great guitarist and friends. Dion & Ricky Nelson were big fans of Carl P. Super how those trees were around in the 50s along the sidewalk. Really nice history to where the greatest of the great entertainers & musicians recorded. How much things change but with Spa Guy Trey & team they have found gold nuggets of history in what remains. Great ya thanked Laxart staff because they were very friendly/accommodating. Very enjoyable vid. History comes alive. Pieces of my Life.
Hello my friend just love this absolutely loved it. I'm never going to get the chance to go to the places where you go and I truely appreciate what you do 100% I can watch you video's and have an image of what it must have been like as well as for Elvis but the whole surroundings may you live long and prosper my friend cause without you we will never know and it will all be forgotten God bless and thanks russ⚡And also a big thanks to Trey and Ashley
Brooklyn boy Lived and worked, in the late 70’s ,in this neighborhood , before the internet, had no idea of this Great music history site but did sense the great vibes while traveling to and fro . #thanks✨✌🏼🎼
Thanks as always Sir Billy 😇 for bringing us this fascinating insight that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to see. You hear about these places and you don’t immediately think about their current existence and then you come along. A...maz..ing! Keep bringing them on! ✌️❤️
Sua voz é bonita Billy. Deveria investir na carreira solo. Canta mui bonito. Das músicas que você citou, gosto muito de Teddy Bear. Elvis foi o nosso mais lindo e inteligente Teddy Bear. Ouvindo-o, hoje através dos vídeos, fico muito emocionada. É mui lindo ele cantando este sucesso. Thank you Billy.
Spa Guy you are probably the King of Elvis Archeologists. Good Bless you for sharing this video. You got a pretty good Elvis Voice as well. Long Live The King.
Great video once again. Thank you for preserving history. The doors behind the building where you heard music was the rear studio rehearsal space for the Record Plant recording studio.
That was fantastic I love the way you explain about elvis keep up the fantastic work I live near edinburgh scotland and appreciate every thing you do and the videos
É emoção demais ver os lugares que Elvis passou, hoje é só recordação, parabéns Spa Guy pelo vídeo lindo que você nos proporciona do nosso eterno rei do rock👍👍❤️🇧🇷
Great video of Elvis history. As you said some great songs cut in these studio buildings. Pretty neat these buildings do still exist with everything usually getting pushed in for a hamburger place or some such. Thanks to Mr T for helping out on the video extras also. Nice info about Elvis actually doing the first Ed Sullivan Show on the left coast also. Starsky skills once again.
This was so interesting. You just don't know until someone like you and Ashley dig this all out for us. Such interesting facts and I thank you all for gathering it and sharing it. Another piece of the Elvis puzzle. I do wish they could preserve somehow these old buildings that have so much musical history. Although I know nothing stays the same, it would be nice to have some things stay the same.
On May 14 1957, while filming the dance in Jailhouse Rock, Elvis inhaled a broken cap from one of his teeth. The studio doctor had to put Elvis under & perform a special procedure to remove two fragments from his lung.
@@NYCgirl927 its interesting that you say that about placing instruments down the the throat, because the climax of the Movie, Jailhouse Rock, has the scene where he injures his throat, and its unknown for a time whether there's permanent damage. Art imitating life, or vice versa, or verse visa.
Wow! So good to see the building where all those historic recordings were made. That has to be one of the most important builldings connected to Elvis sad that it's not been preserved as a recording studio like Sun/Memphis Recording Studios but you get a sense of what it's like. Didn't know the first Ed Sullivan appearance was in Hollywood. Nice bit of added info.
My goodness Billy how I wish I was living over there next to you guys able to go on a video shoot.... maybe one day my dream will come true and I will be blessed by meeting you and your friend...
Another great video! As a fellow bassist do we know where the old single coil P bass Elvis bought for Bill ever got to? They are my favorite Basses. Leo got it right the first time!
Spa Guy wow, that’s too much! Those Basses are my favorite. I picked up a used Fender Custom Shop 55 P as one of my primary gig basses. (The other is an American Vintage 57 P Reissue) That’s awesome! Any chance we’ll see a video on it someday?
@@danielphillipsmusic9145 I will definitely do a video on it and the American Sound bass he has it too.. You have some cool basses.. I play a American 5 String Jazz I bought new in 1995 and a American Special Jazz 4 string.. I have a few other basses too a Rickenbacker 4001 I bought used in 1984 and a few nothing special basses..
You do the best job when it comes to Elvis...keep it coming brother
