Nice to see you have the same appreciation for their song in 1999 as I do. It's beautiful and sung so well.

Poland 94, 95 and 97 are all all-time favorites for me. Since then the only Polish entry I've liked was 2015.

Yessss! Love to see that you've put 2005 in really great - I just love its energy and I'll probably forever wonder why it didn't qualify. Poland's probably my least favourite Eurovision country... they *do* have some standouts (1994, 2005, 2014, 2016, 2022... heck, I'd even throw 2020 in there) but the vast majority of them I'd probably place in "I like it, but" or below. Especially these days where they've pretty much put out everything I don't care for. Thankfully Ochman saved the day!

Maybe I’m biased because I’m polish but I find “Sama” and “Pali się” really great. “śpiewokrzyk” or white voice Slavic singing is so unique but I do have to admit Water 🇧🇬 in 2007 and Shum 🇺🇦 in 2021 do it better.

I really connect with the shape of your tierlist. Poland is a very inconstant participant who has interesting musicians but often struggles to find the right way to choose a song. The really great, diverse national final of this year gives me hope for the future!

Oh, my... here we have our first big disagreement with 1997. Ale Jestem is among the greatest for me, so see that song in I like it but, hurts me. But again, I understand your reasons, my dear. Poland is not one of my favorite countries, to be honest, but 1994 and 1997 are among the greatest, for me.

2004 - I haaaate her voice in the chrous - sometimes I just can't bear someone's vocal style and that kills it for me - this is one of the times. River is such a shame with the dumb effects - I adore that song and Ochman is so talented and he seems like a lovely guy. I think though he's also quite a shy person and there were a lot of huge personalities this year and so the staging was I think overcompensation for that but then again you could say the same about Duncan Lawrence and Mahmoud in 2019 and it's proof that sometimes if you have a great singer and song just trust that and stage it well.

For once, we're actually really different in our tier lists. Like, got a sort of opposite world thing going on. Poland is one of the worst countries at Eurovision and is frequently at the bottom of my annual rankings. When I went through this one and rated them on my system, there were no fantastic songs and only two in really great. Otherwise, the best Poland could do was solid or worse for me. Let's get to it!
    Some agreements first.
2010 is my second favourite Polish entry. It's a great song that would be even better if they had a clear idea what to do with the staging. The opening to the song is just incredible. His vocal is stunning and he plays the performance completely straight despite the nonsense going on around him. I love that playful, almost medieval sound they get in the verses. I think this is a really great great entry.
Close to being really great are songs that you have rated as being "really great" but just missing out for me. They are 2014, 2017 and 2022.
2014 is hurt by the fact that it's probably not the style of music that I'd ever willingly choose to listen to. I can probably count on one hand how many times I've played the audio-only version of this song since 2014. However, for what it is, it is exceptionally well-executed in terms of performance and staging. So has to be solid->really great. 2017 is just the definition of a solid ballad. I like the message, the vocal approach is not typical for this style of song, there's a bit more to her vocal and I like the lighting and the violin guy on stage. The song just needed a big moment in there somewhere to get it up to the next tier. Finally, River...brilliant musical shift in the two minute mark, beautiful verses and an iffy main chorus that doesn't quite fit for me. Ochman's brilliant live, the staging choices were not. Don't need to say much else really. It could've been great.
On the bad side, let's agree over 2007, 2018 and 2021. They're all in that bottom tier where I just don't get what they were attempting to do.
Two songs you've got up there that just aren't for me at all (and are at the bottom of my rankings for their respective years) are 2006 and 2016. In both cases, they're played overly-dramatically on stage to the point that I'm put off and in both cases, the male vocal is completely not pleasant for me to listen to. I understand that if a viewer can get over those things, there might be something to both entries but I can't so they're right down there for me. Similar story for 2020's "Empires" where I want to move it down a couple of tiers from where you have it. It's completely forgettable, lyrically rotten and just lacks any genuine...heart to it? It's also performed by a singer who just can't deliver properly in English. She's great when she sings songs in Polish though...they really should've given her something more suitable because she's an actual talent.
Now, stuff I like that you don't. My favourite Polish entry came in 2015. Taking on-board all that you said, I followed her story before the 2015 contest, thought the staging choices were incredibly moving, love the piano in the song, love that restrained but still driving percussion that comes in the chorus and really like the melody. Her vocal performance is not close to perfect but it's one of those songs where that makes it even better. I'm aware this is one of those that if you break down the entry logically and piece-by-piece, you can find flaws but for me, I felt it and it's in my top ten for the year. Going to annoy you further and tell you that I do indeed love Love Song from 2004. The vocal delivery works considering that they're going to a kind of...reggae, Island approach at times? I find the instruments playful and overall, just enjoy it.
Also, with you in enjoying the solid effort from 2005. You covered it really well. The folk-y elements, the absolutely ridiculous tempo of everything. It works and this was unlucky in not qualifying.
I will be moving most of the non-descript ballads up a bit because, honestly, I think they're actually pretty good, if not particularly memorable. 2008 is the strongest. I kinda remember it more for her being almost orange, with exceptionally white teeth and a bright blue dress. But the actual song gave her stuff to do vocally and she mostly nailed it. Less so, with 2009 where I really like the song until it comes to the chorus, which is just such a let-down, considering the good work that went into it elsewhere. Again though, wouldn't be too harsh.
Last one up, Jestem....really like the song, empty staging and a lack of power in how they delivered the chorus vocally, particularly in the backing...made it forgettable and contributed to its last place (Poland's worst ever result despite not being anywhere near the worst song - go figure).
So yeah, Poland are bad...and my top five is also pretty bad but here it is:
    1. Monika Kuszyńska - In The Name Of Love (2015)
    2. Marcin Mroziński - Legenda (2010)
    3. Ochman - River (2022)
    4. Donatan And Cleo - My Słowianie (2014)
    5. Blue Café - Love Song (2004)

Yeah, Rafał is pronounced "Rafaw" indeed. As a Polish person i mostly agree with that list, except I dislike 2005 and 2010 (never was a fan of folk and the performances are weird) and I really like 2003, mostly because of the lyrics. I also enjoy 2018, especially in studio it's a very pleasant radio track.

I find ”To Nie Ja” to be quite overrated actually. It’s a bit… meh. Like when it ends I just think ”alright, but really… silver medal?”
”Sama” is a weird song, but I enjoy it for it’s weirdness. I especially love the choir. But I mean - it’s all so distorted and just feel like a drug trip gone wrong.
My absolute favorite from Poland is 1996 :) Some people have issues with her voice being loud and screechy. And those people are right actually - but I love that. It’s so raw and ”dirty” while still being a ballad.
2004 - I loved it when I was a kid, but nah… it’s too repetitive. And her voice is very nasal.
    2006 - I agree with you 100%.
2007 - Oh, this is sorta Moldova 2006 in ”sleazy-ness” but turned up. I feel so filthy watching it. It’s just so yucky. Appearently, the girl was only 17 then - and that made me kinda sad to figure out. The song? Also bad.
    2008 + 2009: Unlike you, I love these. And espceially 2009 :)
2014: Love it. So folky, yet modern. Fun performance with the washing and butter churning. Just a real cool song!
2015: I like it more than you do, I find it ok but I prefer the ballads from 08 and 09.
2017: Like it in the studio cut, but live she just kinda… roars more than she sings.
2018: Oh this was a disaster live. I found the song quite ok, but Lukas’ vocals were just awful - especially in the first chorus. And Gromee was cringy af.
2020: Oh I love this. Grest verses, even better chorus.
2021: Eeek… hard pass for me! Embarrassing performance.

Yes, ł is pronouced like w.
I really enjoyed your video! I must say the shoking one for me was Legenda. I didn't saw much love for this song in fandom and tbh it's not even liked by the polish one. Personally I can't watch this performance without feeling of cringe.
