Love this vase
I don't do a lot of woodworking but it is satisfying to see something that is completed in front of you.
Just subscribed and a great idea too.

Hi man , isn't time for u to put out a new video??? LOL , you have that new lathe to put in use haven't you ;)
You are very right! Im trying to find time. I hope to release a vid for the Christmas ornament challenge. Time though.... thanks for caring!!!
absolutely coolthats the only thing i can say about this
Dag Nabit Alex!, NEVER bore on a lathe without having your free hand ON the chuck. It is a safety thing.
Now... WOW you scored a nice chunk of spalted Birch. Good Project!..
Andrew Arndts may get to know the reason for it? Just curious
Excellent !!!!!! What wood was used ?
He sounds like such speed
Hi I saw this video & also the flat bowl (good video). Can I ask what size is the forstner bit you use to create the mortise for the Chuck & where did you get it from?
hi Alex
what timber is that my old man just felled a load of silver birch trees and they looked similar
First!!
Simply beautiful! What's the wood?
nexus01gr the bark looks like some sort of cherry. Smooth but comes off as strips/strings. The wood looks amazing
Well, the bark is a little bit lighter than that of cherry wood so, I googled "birch bark" and I think that if you compare images of 0:06 and google, we're on the money with Birch. Spalted Birch to be exact.
It is silver birch
Make a headphone stand please it's like the 10th time lol please
Is it some sort of cherry? Or ambrosia?
Birch?
No donuts?
hi Alex
