It’s such a great comfort to me to know that there is (and apparently has been for ~2000 years) an entire school and way of living that addresses every thought and concern I’ve had my entire life. This school is free of monetary cost as well.
I spent my entire life attempting to avoid Christianity without ever knowing what it is.

That’s true!!! I was searching myself materials that could explain all those new age spiritual experiences, or any type of experiences outside the Orthodox Church because those experiences still seem miraculeuse to us and people hold really tight to them, so much that they are scared to change their beliefs, or church. And especially the « Born Again » experiences of people that encounter Christ outside Orthodoxy. They interpret everything as an act of the Holy Spirit, and this scares me a lot.

  • @untoages

It’s so true that New-Agers are looking for something deeper. The intuition to search is evidence of it in itself. That’s something I’ve thought about for a while, as these more esoteric forms of belief come to popularity. The “spiritual but not religious” types. It’s just an amalgamation of individualism, paganism, and Christian heresies. If only they knew that what they’re really looking for is what they’re running from…Lord have mercy.

As 'organized religion' is sadly retreating in the West, it is not atheism that will fill the void and take hold, but 'disorganized pseudo-religion.'
Millennials replaced religion with astrology and crystals.
Don’t believe in God but ascribe God-like powers to stones, crystals and stars. His creation. While seemingly a new concept, it really isn’t.

    • @dragasinbrankovic
      @dragasinbrankovic 11 місяців тому

For me, my first contact with spirituality was astrology, I was atheist all the way but I gave it a try and after many months of research I concluded that there's too much truth in it, I would even read natal charts to people I see for the first time and they would be in disbelief how accurate it was, all of them.
Then I did a few of guided kundalini energy and microcosmic orbit meditations which gave me absolute proof that Eastern religions have much greater understanding of mechanics of human body/soul.
Then I got the glimpse of the Ultimate as Hindus say or uncreated light as orthodox say.
Then my absolute disoriented spirituality took hold of me, in this phase I also contemplated crystals and home altars, I did everything under the sun that promises spiritual powers or elevated energy level.
It worked but spiritual beings started visiting me, disturbing me and my life lacked any structure or direction, I was just chasing spiritual high.
I got to experience many things people would call supernatural: astral projections, energy shifts in people, seeing beings without a physical body in fully awake state, seeing something happen in advance and many many more crazy things.
But although I had all those highs and abilities I absolutely lacked peace or structure, I was honestly suffering from confusion despite all "progress" I was making.
It all came to an end when demonic attacks got too strong and frequent, at first to my deranged self it was fun as anything that moved me out of ordinary and physical world was good and most of the fights with those beings I won or at least I thought so.
      How stupid I was.
It came to a boiling point where there would almost be no night without spiritual attack, many false awakenings, sleep paralysis and even hallucinations after waking up.
Maybe I would still be doing this kind of practices if I didn't literally see two horned giants, classic Christian depictions of devils.
One was ram horned and was much scarier, aggressive and boastful than bull horned one who was a false teacher talking me into living materialistic life to the fullest, common thread to both of them was: "do as you wish" and "you are your own god".
I literally had to see ancient deities in all their power and single-mindedness to be scared into grounding myself with Christianity.
Since I threw all books and suspicious objects out of the house, stopped eastern practices and astrology proclaimed Jesus Christ as my lord and saviour and started praying regularly I had no serious attacks from these beings, only was tempted sexually by a few in 6 months time which is a far cry from the frequency and seriousness of these attacks I had before.
I am a sinner still but what I guess attracted demons in my life was insatiable wish for spiritual powers and no wish for purity, recepy for disaster.
Weirdly enough with purity of heart and actions and devotion to our Lord I got even more as I would call it in my spiritualist days "energy" and even some glimpses of extrasensory perceptions, not that I chase those things right now but even on christian path we can get "gifts".

Waw this interview was the best I could hear now!!! What a great explanation of created and uncreated energies. I was struggling the last months/ last year with those ideas, especially different people experiencing internal positive changes outside Christianity ( for example: someone encounters Islam and his life changes to a (morally) positive way, or someone becomes member of jehovas whiteness and gets healed from that passion that struggled for many years etc!) - or the power of prayer outside Christianity etc. I understand that the creation doesn’t operate only in physical laws but spiritual laws as well, however still couldn’t grasp the difference between those created énergies that are part of creation (but still feels miraculeuse to us) and the uncreated énergies of God that someone can experience only after true Union with God. 🙏🏻 Please please please keep up with your great work of creating those videos! • @romanmay2867

One way that I thought about tarot card is the idea that almost similar to the venerating the Saints, and using saints intercede on your behalf. Now this might seem blasphemous or heresy, but just hear me out. God uses people to enact his will and spread his love and message and so on, which is why the Saints are venerated and worshiped, but used to intercede on your behalf with god. The Saints and the icon are not worshiped. They are abused as “tools” of worship. Now put a pin in that and think about this really quick, if God can also communicate through simple dreams and vision and such, and can communicate to humans using symbols, it’s not, to me, that far of a stretch to say one is not putting faith in the cards, but the holy spirit which enables the cards to be used as such and the symbols on them to communicate. now this being said this is obviously a very contentious topic but tarot cards are not that old, They only go back to 16 or 1700s these aren’t ancient pagan practices. that being said, plenty of people use them for selfish and bad reasons, but I could also argue that people pray for selfish and bad reasons as well.

I don’t believe in the tarot per se but I do believe they are an insightful tool for introspection through story telling… that being said a lot of the fathers here quote 12step a lot wich is a jungian concept I believe… based on surrendering to a higher source, Jung also studied the tarot and its relationship to archetypes and different personalities… nothing to actually do with magic or beliefs, just observations through time. I absolutely love this channel but I simply cant agree with the fathers commentary, it is a bit too surface level imo compared to my own research… im a huge fan of theology and occultism, history and psychology, no expert but I’ve read a few things.

How is the God who is ever present and fillest all things only manifested within the confines of Orthodox dogmas and doctrines? Is God a deceiver of genuine believers of other religions and or spiritual paths? To someone standing before an idol worshiping it are they actually worshipping a demon hiding behind that idol? According to Orthodox teaching, God shouldn’t work this way yet man, priests, and bishops took God and restricted him to the confines of working only in the Orthodox Church context. Orthodox beautifully forget or neglect to acknowledge what the the political implications were to have the Roman Empire consolidate into one unified “Church”. The world and what the church came to be are far more complex than we realize but we take everything at face value without any deeper thought.

  • @DD-jt4yn

How about trying to achieve more harmony in humanity without pretending to know what God is, or worse, what its “will” is?
Also, just because a person is not Christian, doesn’t make the rest of humanity ignorant or out of touch with a creative force.
Humanity has suffered unimaginable injustices, pain and persecution because most religions, in particularly the Abrahamic ones, pretend to know what God’s will is.
To refer to God as a “he” shows that we have created the idea of an “entity” in our image, not the other way around.
Why not live by example, and let others be. To be a good person it’s not that complicated.
