Thanks for sharing your experience. It's nice to know everything went so smoothly. Appeciate all the tips about what to remember before sending the broken tablet back. Great video!
I was dreading getting my son's tablet replaced until I saw how easy the process was for you. Thankfully it was easy for me too. He received the replacement today. Thank you!
Wow, this was a very different experience from the one I had! Our replacement was sent out to us immediately with one day shipping and we literally received it the very next day. I was also given 2 full months to return our broken tablet, it wasn't required for our replacement to be sent. We also didn't have any indication that our replacement was refurbished; there was no notice given and it just came packaged in the standard, orange Fire tablet box. I also have to mention, the entire process for me took just 5 quick minutes on Amazon's customer service chat for them to set it all up. I just needed to provide the serial number for our broken tablet for them to confirm and then I was given the (super simple) instructions on how to go about returning ours. There is no questioning about the damage or how it occured, there's no need to provide proof of it being inoperable, there's legitimately no hassle whatsoever. It was seriously the EASIEST return process I've ever experienced, it was almost easier than buying it in the first place! With this, combined with the INCREDIBLY kid friendly operation of the tablet itself, I cannot recommend the fire kids tablets more!
I just sent my daughters tablet in at the beginning of the month for a repair and had to contact customer service three times. On the last chat there was no update in the system on the status of the repair/replacement. I have to buy a new tablet and they said they’d refund me the full purchase price once I receive it. It’s definitely gone down hill recently.
My little brother who is two had to learn to wait that week(broke it Sunday and got the new one Friday)however it gave him a chance to learn that it’s okay to not have screen time for a week. It was pretty easy and took my mom only ten minutes to get the refurbished one!
There’s an option to pay $15-16 for an “immediate” replacement which means you get next day replacement while also getting a label to send damaged one back.
It’s not a hard process but I find it incredibly frustrating that they have no way on your account to submit for a replacement or warranty claim. I searched high a low as well and no luck you must chat or call it’s almost like they are purposefully making it hard to discourage people getting them replaced.
Oh no I just had to do this, but they told me they were going to repair mine not replace it. So I didn’t delete anything on my sons tablet 🙄. I don’t know why I didn’t even think about that.
Thank you so much for this video. Please can you confirm how to get across to the customer service in Uk. I got the fire 8 for my son in 2022 in Argos and I still have the entire pack and everything.
Thanks for sharing but I have a question i was wondering if I can still do it if I didn't buy it for my kid or would the person who bought it have to make the claim?
I was wondering the same thing. But I'm assuming since its an Amazon tablet they would actually honor the warranty rather you purchased directly from them or a store(Target, Kohls, walmart) that basically just sells them.
So they’ve told me that the tablet we have has been discontinued and we have to buy a new one and they will refund us I don’t understand why they can put the money in a Amazon account to buy the tablet Im not happy how is this a me problem it sounds like a them problem
Just try contacting Amazon. They will ask for the ID of the tablet and they use that to verify if it has insurance. They don’t ask for proof of purchase or anything

I did a warranty claim sent the iPad on Wednesday and came in the next Wednesday 😊 such a easy process it seems so much harder but it’s so easy thanks

How do I do it if I bought it from Best Buy??
Do I need the original box?
Does the 2 years Garantie works if you buy the Amazon tablet in Kaufland
Hi, what if you didn’t buy the tablet from Amazon? For example I bought my sons at Target. How will that work?
It should still work the same. Amazon still gives you a 2 year insurance

When you remove the sd card, was it formatted as internal storage or portable storage?
Do I need to send in the charger too ?
The two year warranty is not even up yet since I got it in January 2021 and it’s saying it’s not covered anymore. Has this happened to anyone else?
did you start a chat with them? that's the only way
