Hey Casey! So here's my first time asking you a question about gear : I have a budget of around 5000 CAD to buy my first mirrorless camera to make videos. I previously had a Nikon D7100 with a Sigma 30mm toneh 1.4 and oh boi let's not talk about it (managed to make some pretty nice music videos out of it but yeah, they still suck). I am looking at the A7C because i will need the autofocus as I shoot a lot of human subjects (music video, documentary and maybe weeding and advertising if I ever get a job in those fields later). I was looking at the S5 because of the price and colors but after binge watching your videos for the past 2 months, I've switched my mind towards Sony (better ecosystem and AF). I plan on buying the A7C (mainly due to eye AF and gyroscope paired with a gimbal) and a sigma 28 70 toneh 2.8. I however don't know if I shoot wait for the A7IV to expect 10bit colors and 4k 60 and invest in that instead. What do you think? I've also been contemplating the Sony 20 1.8 (because of you) instead of the Sigma 28-70 but it's crazy if I want to have it as my first lens while shooting music video and narrative stuffs, right?! I would like to know if 28mm is wide enough for some street landscape videography (not vlogging i know it's too tight) and if 2.8 good for lowlight, if you could make a video about it that would be nice!

I currently have a D5300 (with just a kit lens 18-55) and I was looking at upgrading to either a6400 or A7R III along with 1 or 2 good non-kit lenses (instead of buying better glass for my old DSLR). I either want to spend as little as possible or make sure I get the best camera/glass I can afford, though the A7C looks like a good buy and could allow for more $$ for good glass. Thank you.

@@fredriksvard2603 Yeah, not many vloggers use candles as light source and it's pretty good as long as you are not trying to take photos of moving objects in the dark. Camera has likely 10 years old sensor so new Fuji cameras with similar pixel density can use maybe 4 times higher ISO, but IBIS is pretty effective and it can handle situations with reasonable light. And by reasonable I mean light where you can recognize colors. Dark corners of poorly lit pubs or people playing guitar around campfire a problem. Well ... actually I don't use kit zoom lens, but 20mm/f1.7 for low light situations
The kit lens for the G85 isn't a bad lens at all. The 12-60mm 3.5-5.6 is sharp and focuses well. Overall good lens. Great, no... but it works well with the G85.
Casey, which camera should I buy to take pictures of the fake virus? More importantly, which telephoto lens do I need to take photos of Gill Bates from very very far away?
All you need to go vlogging is the ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro. No, the sensor is not too small, and you get the bets camera the phone has regardless the direction you're recording or taking pictures.
What filter should I buy to make my footage look like it's filmed in 100p and unusable? The ones you used on this video are pretty good for bad footage, but I need my footage to look even worse.

That question was clever. :)
Kit lenses are not always bad. I got the “pro kit” when I bought my G9. It came with the 12-35mm f2.8 zoom. Excellent lens.
The kit lens for the G85 isn't a bad lens at all. The 12-60mm 3.5-5.6 is sharp and focuses well. Overall good lens. Great, no... but it works well with the G85.
One of the hilarious youtuber ever 😂
Casey, which camera should I buy to take pictures of the fake virus? More importantly, which telephoto lens do I need to take photos of Gill Bates from very very far away?
Lol *Ian Corzine* - that's really cool you know each other. is he like your older brother or something? 😅
The worst thing about that fuji 16-80 is that if you use the zoom, it completely loses focus.
Absolutely awful lens.
The toneh on this one. We have come a full circle guys, starting with the toneh hate, now we here Kacey? (Kasey? Kacsey?) Thou hast lost thou way.
YEsss we want new video like this buuuuuuuuuuuuuut with used low budget ones too xD
You should do comedic improv at a club.
how do i modify my m4/3 camera into full frame
Metabones 0.71x EF-MFT speedbooster.
@@RJPhotographics oh yeah actually true 😂😂😂 was more thinking like changing the whole sensor and lens mount
@@Mirza_Rifai Part exchange or Ebay is probably the easiest way. Why though?
Too much toneh my friend, too much toneh. Blurry hand action off the yingyang!
3:40 Flashback to when all your videos were way overexposed
Instead of the Oly E-M1 II, why not the E-M5 III? It has the same autofocus and it is lighter and smaller.
When do you buy the Blackmagic pocket cam and put shitty filters on it, like you did in this video?!
