It’s perfect for talking heads and for short film you might have to decide on the “look” you’re looking for to determine the type of lenses you’d want to go with it
It's got great autofocus and terrible rolling shutter. It should be fine for anything where the camera is sitting on a tripod, but most of the handheld footage I've seen from it looks terrible.
My Canon EF 50mm Toneh 1.4 has become useless unless I use autofocus, lock and then switch to manual because the damn lens doesn't work all the time. You asked to ask you, on what the camera is for. Right question... I tend to use the cameras (at least three of them) mainly in a studio for both Aroll and conversations. I m not going to shoot sports, neither wild life, travel, or movies. My main usage is teleconferencing and interviews. The light will be controlled by artificial light sources in my home office/studio. All will be set once for a long time and ready to go anytime with the press of a button (or some buttons anyway...). For all of these reasons above, I experience with consumers camcorders (sony AX33 and older HDR Full HD at 1080), but the image quality is lower than I expect, especially in low light situation, and all are too flat. In any case I don't get a clean and sharp image. That's why I m looking for an upgrade. But because of my multicameras need I can't afford a set of three full frame cameras with the lenses and I m not sure if I need something like that. I m sure that I could do my job with more affordable choices. If you have some to recommend, I would be glad to hear. Thanks

It's probably boring and outside of your vlogging expertise, but you keep browsing the demon store, so I reckon you could know, despite having burning hatred for Panasonic
I know you asked Kasey, but as someone with an S5, I haven't found any third party lenses that'd be useful with autofocus quite yet. I literally just got the Lumix 50mm f1.8 a few days ago and I'm loving it so far. I'm constantly checking for other options, hoping Viltrox or Samyang/Rokinon make something.. There's also the MC-21 adapter, I've had mixed success with various EF lenses on it..
Ask me, not Kasey. I've owned both cameras and used them extensively for video. Get an X-T4---INFINITELY better and more versatile than the S5. S5 peaking sucks, the EVF and LCD are poor---sensor and stab are good, but who cares how good the image might look if your LCD and EVF are so poor you can't see if you're well in focus when you're actually shooting. The X-T4--far better, and the Viltrox lenses work great....IMO, the X-T4 is the very best value on the market for a hybrid camera that does BOTH photo and video superbly.
@@avarmadillo Hi - thanks, but I rented the X-T4 for three days because I thought exactly that - I would just buy it and forget about Panasonic which Kasey hates with burning passion lol. Whilst I did like some of the results and found out that the grip is not nearly as bad as I though, the problem for me is that its low light performance marginally better than that of MFT (with significantly worse IBIS at that), its command dials feel ridiculously cheap, the touch screen is useless, and the shutter button is in the wrong place (as is the on-off switch tbh, I hate when they wrap the shutter button with it). Until I got it, I didn't know there are lenses with audible focusing/aperture (and I don't like the lens selection much either). The way it doesn't do well with Lightroom doesn't help as well. There are many things I love about it (design obviously, the amount of options, features, those exposure dials) but usability and overall experience are high on my priorities and the X-T4 doesn't do particularly well there. I do recommend it to others though. As for the S5, it's got the same EVF as the G90 and slightly better screen, so I think I'll be fine with that. In fact the screen on the X-T4 isn't particularly amazing IIRC. S5 vs X-T4 comes up a *lot*, so I think I know where it's at, especially after days of hands-on experience.
@@briandipierro8865 Hi Brian, thanks. Honestly I don't necessarily need it to have AF if it's either a prime or parafocal zoom. And its price reflects lack of AF and weather sealing, haha. That 50mm t/1.8 is kind of a basic lens, I can't believe it took them so long to come up with the affordable 1.8 prime lineup. And I guess there is always Sigma.

So what are your thoughts on a gopro hero 9 with media mod and a rode wireless go system for vlogging outdoors while hiking etc where size and weight are important.
That's what I use when vlogging for my business. It's a little fiddly to get set up, but quality is awesome. While on vacation with the family for the past week, I used GP9 alone, with no external audio since it's so much more convenient and waterproof. The footage I get out of my GP9 with the Max Lens Mod is amazeballs - just wish it shot in 4K, instead of 2.7K, but it's a small price to pay for the ultimate steady shot.

@@AoyagiAichou In that case, if you're looking for a wider angle and AF doesn't matter, I love my TTArtisan 21mm f1.5. Aside the vignette, and the focus distance being a... bit far, it's a nice lens.
Btw Who is jack morris 🤔
I have a R6 standing right before me. But it's branded Leica, not Canon! Was I scammed?

Simply question. for outside blogging only Ozmo Action or more Expensive GoPro Hero 9? Pure on the run in a City blogging no Action shots on a Bicycle. Great Stuff!!
is the micro four thirds frame half full or half empty?
Canadians are both strange and hilarious and strange at the same time, I believe both you and Ryan Reynolds should be either ambassadors or politicians, it would make life so much more interesting. On a action camera note, have you ever reviewed the Sony DSC-RX mk11? It seem to be a high spec camera for its size.
can you make the x-t4 look like the sony ?
I feel confidence in your "Expertise", after all, you do #Vlog from your livingroom 😀😀
