Summary:
This is a great show when Mayall reunited original 1960s-era Bluesbreakers Mick Taylor, John McVie (Fleetwood Mac bassist) and drummer Colin Allen. Its a goldmine for fans of Mick Taylor, who is all over this, and includes quite a roster of blues greats joining in, including a smokin hot appearance by Albert King.
Mick Taylor's vibrato and slide are the most beautiful in the world
I saw John Mayall and Albert King, and another great for 3 bucks. Mayall and the Bluesbreakers were rocking the roof off the house.
Mayall is the primordial ooze of blues and still at it.
So glad to see the great Mick Taylor get some camera time.
I bought John Mayall with the Bluesbrakers and Eric Clapton as my first ever album when it was new (1964?). John has ment so much!
1966
Good to see Mick there ..Great show ..John !
Albert King, King of the blues guitar he plays his guitar upside down
he has a lot of soul in just a few notes. the absolute master of string
bending.
His Hands the size of a baseball mitt. It’s where Rock got its bends.
Hendrix Page Taylor SRV Clapton and so on and On.
He is King of Our House. Our Neighbors as well. Like it or not..
I love John Mayal and the B B. Wow...I'm having a good time!!!
Fabuleux Mick Taylor !
Fantastic tour and album. So great there's footage of jams with Etta James and Albert King . That must have been a kind of heaven for Mick Taylor. Sure sounds like it.
Poor John Mayall! After all of these years, he still cannot find a good guitarist. (Sarc. for you idiots)
What a Bassman!!!🎉
What a show . John Mayall , one righteous dude .
Mick Taylor...made in the uk....what a great talent!!!!
Albert King.... what a King!!! Regards from Germany!
So great Albert is the man:):)
Super Legends!!!! Love!!!!
Albert King .... the tone that cannot be duplicated.
This is why I love the blues:):)
Never seen better than this shit it don't get no better than this.. 😀😀❤️
I was there Fantastic show!
Amazing, influential band! Former members are a 'who's who' of Blues, Rock, and R&B!
A killer show ..good job !
You can be badass, but you will never be as badass as Albert King leaving the stage.
I saw some amazing shows at the Capitol Theater. And I always enjoyed what a lovely neighborhood it was in.
Monroe St - a lovely neighborhood? I lived on Hope Ave and grew up being told to stay away from Monroe St. But it still didn't keep me from going to the Capitol Theater.
What FUN!!!!!!
Mick Tayler so freakin talented, from a very young age,he was rolling.
Feel like I just found a chest full of treasure. This is awesome. Thank you so much for posting.
I saw the same lineup in 1982 in Honolulu, HI. Great memories!!

Great blues music for sleeping time, wonderfull!
what a feeling here!
Saw John Mayall many times , one Top night was when Mick Taylor guested on a handful of songs with Buddy Whittington. That was at London's Jazz Cafe.. superb magical blues evening 🎸🎸
So sad that Albert King, Hubert Sumlin, Sippie Wallace and Etta James are gone.
Not to mention Junior Wells!!!
Not as long as there are recordings such as this! But, yeah, they were great. /:-)
Super music
Master craftsmen & woman!

Etta James is cool af
I saw this Lineup of the Bluesbreakers , multiple times. The Best one was at the PARK WEST , in Lincoln Park, Chicago. An intimate venue, where we sat at Tables, and had a Waitress, bringing Cocktails, all night
WOW...
SUPERR !!
Thanks for posting this, I had it on tape, Beta I think. This sounds and looks so much better! Taylor was just smoking. I saw this tiur in NY, but none of the guests were there. Still a great show.
This is great for me cause i've had this on VHS for decades same night but this is a different version, more songs from one of my favorite performances.Right On.
Love It! Super session, really great! Thanks for share.
GREAT BLUES MUSIC!!! Thanks for posting. Cheers!
Just one set from what obviously was a great night in Passaic! Lots to like here, King, James, Guy, Sumlin, Wallace, Wells, AND the Bluesbreakers! One of Mayall's best line ups, Taylor, McVie, and Allen (who gets too little notice). Always had good shows, Mayall, this is some of the cream. /:-)
This blows my mind. In 1969 I went to a place called the Rose Palace in Pasadena to see Deep Purple, Albert King and the Bluesbreakers in that order. Mick Taylor on his last BB tour before the Stones. No seats, one buck to get in. Every band was superb and when (John remembers) Mick takes off on Parchman Farm we all, as blues fans, were transported to a very fine universe as the Bluesbreakers tore the roof offa the sucka. Concert seating! Sawdust! Weed!
Wow - nuff said - lucky man Dennis !!
@@christopherwilliams7799 - then why do I feel like a weepy child? Seriously thank you for the reminder. I used to babysit John Mayall's little boy somewhere in the nineties. Dude's still alive, by cracky.

Are you kidding me??!!! Love it, I'm 59 and feel in love with the 60s and 70s music the first time I saw Woodstock,, fell in love ❤️❤️💓

Ten years before I was with JM band in Milan having fun with Larry Taylor and Sugarcane Harris at the end of the concert.

Only John Mc Vie is an original blues breaker formation(1963-64) i mean the formation you can listen in Bluesbreakers with E. Clapton...
at 1:12:00, I'm the one holding up the Mick Taylor sign
No shit ?
That was pretty cool. /:-)

I remember that tank top from the Sacramento blues fest...so I guess I saw him back then.
First time i saw john was in great bar called Cabooze in Mnpls ,Mn. canned heat was backing him outstanding show.
that was long ago Everette for sure, Mayall gave praise to Canned Heat on his Thru the Years recording as the group over here that gave him the break he needed to showcase his music. Have a album of Mayall introducing Mick Taylor when he was 18 years old, first time playing before a live crowd recording doing the blues on song named "Train Time", could hear why he was considered a prodigy. John McVie also was with Bluesbreakers before going on to Fleetwood Mac. Eric Clapton also was with them before going to other venues. "Thru the Years" and "Down the Line" albums had them all together as regulars.
Oh, and Jack Bruce too who also went on to Fleetwood Mac.
@@mmonteken Jack Bruce? No. You must mean Mick Fleetwood. /:-)
Albert is the King of sting.
Take notes Mr. Jagger this is the respect you should give your lead guitarist as MICK TAYLOR plays his ass off instead of prancing around the stage !!!!!!
Great sound ! Thanks. 11:24 Etta had a cruch with John McVie.
MAYALL: a banquet in blues
The blues university for all the times
This Is It !!

The "Fathers and the Sons".
Puras luminarias
muy bueno
I saw them 2 days before this show in Baltimore (no special guests though) set list varied with the guests
White Boy Lost In The Blues (on 'Sonny & Brownie' A & M '71, w/Mayall, J Winter, Arlo Guthrie, etc. A killer LP.
Just a slight comment on my part,... At the end of Born Under a Bad Sign Albert King leaves the stage and at the 37:35 mark Mick Taylor starts to "let loose" but then Albert King comes back on stage and Mick discontinues what he was going to do. I have a good feeling that some real REAL GOOD NOTES was going to be played,.... BUT.... we could only imagine. : )
😍
Someone can put me right on the detail, but I first saw JM and the Bs at Glastonbury Town Hall in about 1968, and I think Mick Taylor was lead then.
The Stones were blessed to have Mick Taylor in their band. He could play as well as Clapton.
check out MickTaylor at 1,02,46-1,04,58
