They do have this program it's called the homeownership voucher program through section 8. However most Housing Authority's don't want to participate in it. In Massachusetts a four bedroom rental is $1735 a month however the home my mom wants to purchase would be $1200 per month. Section 8 would rather pay $1735 a month then allow my mom to purchase a home for $1200 per month. And the Housing Authority's that participate in the program tell you where to buy your house even though HUD states No

From my understanding you have to have section 8 for 12 months first and work a whole year prior to purchasing the home, They help with the down payment and would pay a percentage of the mortgage with you for the first 5 to 20 years not sure double check. Hello, what you would have to do is to port your voucher to another state, You need to find out if that state you are looking to port your section 8 voucher will absorb your voucher, Meaning they will pay the a portion of the rent for the first year you live in the new state. Also talk to your case manager in your current location first then contact office of the state you are looking to move. best of luck love

Yeah I'm a single dad with two very young kids I'm on disability because I fell and broke my back in 05 and severed part of my spinal cord and I can't get any sort of a f****** assistance
I know and they still complain. I work hard for my bills rent food etc.. but Canada has so many foreigners they actually put them in a free hotel and give them a home thru habitat but I have to work my Ass off
