Im Alex, owner of the car. I think it's a very nice and honest review of what I perceive to be an honest and fun car. Max's feelings match mine. It's not the fastest by any means, but it makes me smile every time I drive it. A 6R80 or 10R80 car would indeed be quicker, but I specifically wanted a manual car. How much longer will you be able to purchase and run a supercharged manual V8!!??
Since the video was produced the car has been Dyno'd at 625WHP, which equates to somewhere in the region of 735-750crank HP depending on which conversion factor you care to use.
I will also admit that Ive since changed the exhaust and made the car a little bit quieter; it now has a resonated H-pipe in place of the original un-resonated X pipe. This ensures a much quieter cold start and cruise, but still has lots of volume at WOT. The sound is also deeper and less raspy.
It's really my everyday car. It lives outside and is driven 365 days per year if possible, even in the winter. The kids go to school in it, I go to work in it, it's a grocery getter ;)
Future mods planned are for an inter-chiller and some more aggressive cams, that would add another 50-80hp and get me to the magic 800bhp crank, which is my aim for the car.
The whole project has been relatively affordable. I bought the car new in 2016 (tax free) for a price of €32,600. My guesstimate is that it has about another €30-35k in mods in it. So an investment of under €70,000. Locally that would not come close to buying me an M4 or C63 (even at tax free prices).

I am called Mustang….and my dream car is GT500 but now i only drive EcoBoost..its good but never close to any GT or GT500…will gather some money and jump to GT500 if GOD wills..Nice car you get there..supercharged am all in to..p

Sick car mate and what you said is very true (and sad to be honest) that the age of manual V8s are coming to an end which I hope not and owning a supercharged one is a rare opportunity not many are blessed with. There is no price on owning a car that makes you smile every time you drive it.

This is my dream car I always say when I get older I will get this with borla exhaust supercharged in Kona blue with red tail lights like america lol it just looks cooler for me.

Nah, coyotes are incredibly raspy and annoying loud with even basic exhaust mods. I own a 2015 mustang with a supercharger. I just put the factory 2018 active exhaust on it because the previous owner had magnaflow mufflers and x-pipe and it was just noise.

@@sambamsandman3679 Yes, its called having an opinion. Having had mustangs since i was 20, the coyote with a loud exhaust just sounds bad. Its just noise. No tone. Im 40 now and i guess my tastes have changed.
@@nozopoke1782 they help, but wont turn the coyote into a small block ford sound. Its the exhaust pulses on a coyote. Its hard to make them sound good AND loud.
This Mustang just sounds extremely good. It really has a more racy touch to it. Very aggressive. Love it!

Amazing sound, the combination of that supercharger and the Coyote engine is perfect. Couple all that with the manual transmision, it is a great car to enjoy a drive in, no destination, just go drive...

That sixth gear is like overdrive ²
It quite literally is, when they facelifted the mustang in 2018 they made 4th 1:1 as apposed to 5th, tightening up the gear ratios. So at 260, you shift from 4th to 5th, not 5th to 6th. 6th gear was unchanged.

I have always wished we could get this kind of sound/engine in a European cars. Mercedes AMG is really the only brand to come close.

Good thing I have this car as my second dream car. You can do lots of mods with it which is insane. IDK if there's a 10r80 Mustang there in Europe the one that's upgraded to 1000HP above. 10 speed automatic with a 1000HP. I'm just trying to imagine. I also heard that Mustangs can be an 8 second car.

Not 8s actually. 7s. And that too on a fully stock engine. The current stock motor record is a twin turbo 10 speed S550 that ran 7.6 secs in the quarter mile. And the fastest h pattern manual car in the WORLD is a gen 1 coyote in an S197 Mustang making 1900hp and it did the quarter in an unbelievable 6.8 secs. Imagine that. 6.8 secs shifting gears manually. Just insane

What people don t get is that this car is basically a 5 gears car. The 6th is just an overdive to reduce gas mileage!
It was the same with my '88 Mustang GT. Appears they haven't learned anything in the 35 years since... about stupidly long top gears.

I have a 2022 Porsche 718 Cayman. It has the 7 gears PDK AT. It s actually a 6 gears car while the 7th gear is the overdrivebfro cruising a low fuel consuption.
For instance, the Cayman GT4RS has also a 7 gears PDK AT but this one is a real 7 gears box.
This Mustang GT needs to be considered as a 5 gears car not 6. A lot of car manufacturers put overdrive gear in their cars.
there is no problem with overdrive gear, the real annoying thing is that the gear before the overdrive is too short for top speed.
