    Really appreciate the blend. It’s only a matter of time, cross training and blending styles. But still giving props to its source. Looking forward to the next video with Master Bautista.

    There’s so much detail in this video ! My guro was a direct student of Angel
    Cabales and he taught me most of the basics and I love the blend that you incorporated here. I live in the East Bay and would love to visit your Daly City school one day with my 5 year old daughter.

    Serrada would be considered a close in fighting?

    • @legacyfilipinomartialarts2872
      @legacyfilipinomartialarts2872 2 роки тому +9

      Yes Serrada Escrima generally tends to try and close the gap and stay in close range.

    • @FMAPulse
      @FMAPulse  2 роки тому +4

      Depending who you speak to, we had a discussion about this recently. Some say it means to "close openings" or "closing in" or "closing the opponent's offense"

    I am a Serrada instructor and really like your discussion regarding the fulcrum. I always practice using the fulcrum technique myself and really like the concept and the speed in which I can deliver a counter-attack following a defensive action such as a cross-block or sweep. It can be a very quick end to an encounter and they will never see that coming.
