I don’t have one, but what I think I’d love about this is that it basically gives me as much control as I want. Much like on an SLR. Sure, manual focusing is a little iffy with the G2, and there’s no shutter priority (which I almost never use anyway, regardless of whether I’m shooting film or digital). So to me it seems like this might be the perfect combination of professional feature and easy of use when you want it. I guess autofocus is much more limited than it would have been on a professional SLR of the time, but changing focus points wasn’t exactly fast and intuitive on those either, so focus and reframe all the way anyway. =)
Very informative video, thank you! I recently bought a Contax G2 kit with the body, 45mm lens and the TLA 200 flash. I'm looking for a sturdy camera bag on the smaller side with nice padding that I could fit the camera in with the mounted lens, the flash, as well as some rolls of film. Do you have any suggestions?
Do you still use the camera? and which lens can you recommend? for outside and portrait and is there a huge difference between 28mm, 35mm, 45mm? Thank you!
Now that Leica is reissuing the M6, this one should get back in production as well, especially the T series after all the hype it got from celebrities and influencers.
I had the Contax G2 with the 28mm, 45mm & 90mm lenses. All of the lenses were exceptional. Colors rendered beautifully & sharpness was evident in the photos taken with each of these lenses. The shutter was loud for such a compact & well built camera body. I sold my Contax kit, but I did enjoy using it, although during this time period, I primarily used a Canon SLR bodies & lenses.
1/4000 sec in manual mode... but in aperture priority it can go to 1/6000 sec and another feature is the custom functions you can set, for example when rewinding the film leader doesn't go into the canister benefit of it is you can switch films midroll if you want
Nice video. Not a rangefinder camera, but it’s a very nice interchangeable lens point and shoot.

Just copped the champagne titanium set! Loving it already.
I bought the TLA200 for my G2 recently. If I'm wanting to shoot TTL, what settings do you recommend on the G2?

Where did you buy the case for this g2? Love it :)
Have you had any problems with the shutter with this camera and if so have you been able to fix it?

Kyocera is no more producing camera gear since 2005.
@@marcp.1752 if a manufacturer appears with tons of cash to license it, then it could be made.
It sure is purty.
this video needed way more photo examples over top the video, we don’t need to see the camera and your hands so much
