I love seeing your dad out there with ya! Is he becoming a car guy or is it simply good father/son time???
DIY master class, wey done 👍.
I lost several center caps on the front when running SOLO II. I'm of the opinion that the heat from the brakes causes them to shrink. I started gluing them in with silicone. They still shrink but the glue holds them.
Heat causes things to expand/grow not shrink.
@@farmtruck9885 Agreed. But plastics can end up smaller after a heat cycle and that's exactly what happened here.
I remember the old jeep truck. Around the time you revived the old Plymouth trailduster. That’s how I found your channel. The old vehicle rescues.
What you say from 18:00-19:00? Wow, you speak with the wisdom of an old man. Couldn’t have said that better. Eye opener for sure. Thanks, I needed to hear that
cool video thanks for posting I had done that to my F-250 one time and it's amazing how fast the basket fills up if you go to a legit detail or body shop supply, for what you did on that car harbor freight can't beat it you got your Maguire's heavy cut medium cut and then polish....
The foxbody is looking amazing I bet the guy you bought it off thought it would never look that good. Hats off to you for keeping it real like most of us that spend hours on the ground in are driveway or on the side of the house working on are projects. Thank you sir
Been watching your channel for awhile now bud (I still miss the focus) and I'm really proud of how far you've taken this car.
As far as content creators you are one of my favorites as you're out there hustling every day and learning as you go.
Keep up the good work man and keep hustlin
Love it! You killed this! GREAT JOB
Craig, I said this already several times, and I say it again, you 5.0 Fox is a Diamond in da flesh! I owned a detail shop, have detailed 6 figure cars, wet sanded old cars and made them shine better than when they left the plant where they were build… you’re spot on, what I like is, you use every guy stuff! And HF stuff is good and produces decent results! One last thing, you can be DARN PROUD of yourself and you Fox Body! I’m a smidge envy. Well I own a Black ATS Coupe and let me tell you, nothing beats the shine of a deep Black paint job! Keep rocking
Got Pops out there helping, NOICE!!!!
Craig , I'd sure be proud of that paint ! I'm sure your Dad is proud of you for not being a video game slug like so many your age too . College ,UA-cam and 4 cars in various stages of restoration and helping friends when needed . I think you manage your time very well ! Ain't nothing you can't do If you set your mind to it .
Well to be fair you can be into cars and also into videogames.
I enjoy being well rounded
Looks good! I have a black fox too! A fine cut or push and a good wax would hook it up!
Nice and simple. Gotta enjoy them
I’m loving the way this car is turning out! By the time you get done with it, it’ll look really really good!
Good to see Dad joining in 👍🏻
I have wet sanded and buffed many vehicles. Like you proved, it is very satisfying and definitely not a budget buster. Your video got me stoked. I'll have to do my daily/beater 01 F150. Of course it's black. Keep up what your doing, it's great to see someone your age with that much enthusiasm. I think we all agree, seeing your Dad jump in really rocks. 🤙
By far this is my favorite foxbody because it’s what a normal person would do to it. Keep it up
Man...the difference is WOW! Looking awesome...
It's good to be a do-er, is amazing what you can do with your hands , so get busy people 👍👍👍
That was great to watch. Love your attitude with this.
Your car looks sick now that it look showroom clean from far away, but would also would pop off the mustang letters would to paint the letters white on the bumpers💯
Dude that thing looks CLEAN!!!!
Try Menzerna polish - it leaves a deep wet finish, smells good, doesn't dust as much, and comes off easy. Best polish I have ever used.
Wish I had a friend like you, you lend tools and also pick them up. Lol ✌️
That jeep brings me back to watching the start of the crown vic parts going into the f100 so hype to see how far you’ve gotten with your passion content is never dry💯💯
I remember yall pulled that out and got it running. Believe it was by a boat
The jeep
Looks real good. This is what I want to do. A simple cheap paint job. Don’t want to worry about scratches on an expensive paint job. I’m going to try it myself
That looks awesome I have a 93 that is all black just like yours. I bought it and it looks good from afar but it’s far from good the guy I got it from had it painted at Mayco. After seeing this I’m going to try this myself thanks for the video
love what you've done to this car considering where you started with it, great job
Thanks for the videos always been more mechanically minded but I think I will try some buffing on my rigs to spiff them up a bit I have been waiting on that power wagon rebuild is how long I have been watching lol thanks for the content
Me and my dad spent all last weekend wet sanding and buffing my truck love spending time with him
Looks good thanks to all Your elbow grease ! Great job 👍
Keep up the good work and updates . Thank You .
🇺🇲🇵🇷🦊👍
Bro the jeep truck I’ve been waiting so long to see it again that things sick
In my experience in polishing paint, especially black, a rotary polisher works better to polish out sand scratches and it creates more friction and heat to work the compound on the paint the brinf back the gloss, then do the polish/glaze work with a d/a buffer.
Great to see Dad involved, good times.
Great job on the body work and paint. The Fox has come so far from what it was when you brought it home. 👍
I followed this project from the very beginning I might have missed one of your videos but most of my caught to me this thing looks fantastic considering what it looked like when you first started you should be pleased with yourself turned out looking great
I like this content, father & son time. Kudos to the both of you. Your car looks fantastic!
Definitely one of my favorite videos. Almost matches the patina other rest of the car, I'm sure when you're 20ft away you don't know! For the amount of your own sweat equity, it really turned out. Not into ford's, but I really enjoy your channel. 3 times your age, but man I enjoy learning from you! Keep up the interesting content and definitely looking forward to the screaming truck engine build
You may be proud of you’re self!!! It looks very nice , aspecially for a spray job in you’re garden, it looks good!!! Greetz from the Netherlands , ramon
Looks great. Its amazing how a little bit of work can make a big difference
J10 yes sir love that truck!
Well, I felt the psychopath thing, I never knew 😂😂😂 kidding. Car looks great cool seeing your pops working with you.
Always wondered what happened with that Jeep truck lol. Really cool to see it
Great job on that Fox body ! If those Galaxies turn out anything like the Fox body they are going too be awesome!!!!
Ah yeah that looks fuckin spicy. Love watching this fox come along. Nice job on that front end.
Nice vid man. I will give you some pointers for next time that helped me in my earlier days. Black is hard to shoot just the color and i think you did a good job considering. Wet the floor next time you paint it will stop dust and shit from going on the project. I would at least drain the water out of the compressor the day b4 and have at least 2 filters one at the gun and one at the tank. Spend the money and buy a good clear coat all i use is PPG for clear. Better to have more than less. When wet sanding the finer you go the easer it buffs. When wet sanding or buffing concentrate on one square at a time mark it in your head then when that is finished move to the next. hope these tips help. Btw BAD ASS STANG
Next time you do wet sanding outside turn your water hose on to where it just barely trickles and keep your panels wet that way. Fantastic job on your paint and buffing!
When I first started to go to cruises and shows and the like I did this same thing to my truck (also black) and it took the paint from a 5 to a 10. Nice that I still had pretty much factory paint to work with from a thickness standpoint. Time consuming as hell but worth it.
From there I ended up going full on show truck now haha.
Great job what a difference keep on doing what you do.
That car has come a long way from when you got it looks good I would be proud of all that hard work you did a great job
Looks a lot better bud, good job!
I agree don't take 10 years to make any car perfect thats 10 years of not driving it and enjoying it perfect it along the way and rack up them miles🤘
Looks great
Looks really good Craig! I'd be proud of how it turned out, all things considered.
I remember when chris got the jeep, been waiting to see it again
Good looking Hot Rod !!
I have seen centre caps get hot enough to melt off on front wheels especially when running hard on the brakes. Saw one fall off when we parked and got out, then a few seconds later the centre fell off with strings of plastic like cheese still coming off.
Looking very sharp craig, well worth the effort for a nice daily.nice ur dad chipped in think he knows what it feels to have pride in ur ride, and q-time with his son.keep on with pimpin rides craig we enjoy living thru you!!!snooky pa.remember that big red turd furd you had long gone are those days!💥🖐😋🤪👍💥
Paint looks good man for real
The jeep pickup is still going! That's cool.
I’m amazed at how far this car has come since you got it 👍😎
You can repaint the trim too. Clear it it'll never chip fade or peel off again.
Awesome video as always Craig!!🤘🤘
Hey bud if you add a little bit of soap to your water use a bucket it works a lot better makes it more slippery
Came out great man good job
Man, that car has come a long way. Nice work!! I can tell you, having too perfect of a car is no fun. I built a nice car, all I do was worry.
The owner of the local Merlins shop had the most perfect '55 Chevy street rod I ever saw . He got rid of it because he was scared his kids would scratch it up with their bikes in and out of the garage . Perfect example of a car too nice to enjoy .
You do great work man you're awesome I'm working on my fox too
I remember the jeep revival. Got me started on your channel
Car is looking good. I have same car basically. 92 lx 5.0 hatch, black on black.
I had it painted through insurance years ago and they screwed it up by not using elastomeric (flexible paint for plastic) on the plastic bumpers. First time I got a stone chip up front 6 inches of paint flaked off! After that you could literally spray chunks off with a power washer. Ruined it they did.
You are better off doing it yourself at least you know what you have. Never let an insurance conpany within 15 miles of your classic car!
Cheers.
The Mustang looks great now you guys really did a fantastic job on it .
You should let the guy who traded you see his car now. Its like day and night. You have done so much work to it,it boggles my mind. You really do good work.
I remember that jeep!
I pour my cereal, then pour in a little cream, then pour in the milk until it completely buries the cereal. That way I can have enough milk to pour a second bowl without getting the milk back out again.
You inspired me to start cleaning up the rust on my obs….. it’s going terribly, but I’m not planning on giving up.
Lol I have that same buffer and stool.
Have you painted before? It looks really good!!!
You did a great job on the car. I'd rather have a driver than a garage queen. Any upgrades planned for brakes?
Keeps looking better. Guys may start making you offers on it. I wonder if you lost the wheel caps from bottoming out. Then again old cars with steelies and wheel covers flex enough to pop the covers, so.....
Great video!
Good afternoon Craig hope you have a great day
Danm looks good shinny lol
Nice job , by the way where did you get those hood pins
The caps popped because of the twisting force on the rims when you turn
Compared to what You started with It looks pretty good Show Car, NAW!
Good job , cheep education , next time you'll nail it
You remind me of the cartoon johnny Bravo !!
Team cereal first, then milk 👍🏿
taking sandpaper to fresh paint is scary asf but so worth it, plus black paint is not very forgiving at all, couldn't of been white😅
Wrap the center caps with electrical tape and pack it in the hole. I guarantee you won't lose them again.
So where is that driver's front center cap Craig???
Nice job but more Galaxie please!
Hay it looks great you did a great job i think someone stole your center caps people are ass is like that but any way wonderful job on the car keep on keeping on
Y’all should have both had on white T’s knotted up when washing!!!!
Also paint looks awesome!
The car isn't perfect, nor should it be. Its a daily driver, and for that it looks great. Nice work, light years better than how it looked previously.
Sure makes me miss my 89 gt, flowmaster exhaust, accell ignition, BBK headers, short throw shifter, crane letter cam and stock gears great on gas blast to drive just smashed my nuts every time I got out and I'm not a big guy really...lol #ecoboostF150
Was a jeep gladiator
Next time you wet sand...use a spray bottle with a little drop or two of dish soap...
Nice try little brother, from Michigan say's, to much thinner in the megars brand of polish especially for fresh paint and can't do it out in the sun. It turns the shine cloudiness. I did it to on my first paint job back in the 70s.
Show us you acceptible 500 dollar maico type paint job that's a long way from a fiddy kidler job 😁
