Need someone's input here. I always am a bit confused with the second pull and the power position seen in the Chinese weightlifters. The "double knee bend" seems to happen right after the knee instead of mid-thigh. When they train snatch pull, they always lock their hips and drive with their legs at the end of the pull as oppose to lock knees and finish with hips as shown here.
@@WeightliftingHouse he does look 90kg but i thought Josh was like 6'2, he looks very long, those black clothes gotta be hiding a lot of mass because I'm 5'10, 88kg myself as well but my build is totally different by judging based on this video, also, I don't expect a 5'10 guy to grab the bar from the extremes.
@@Al.j.Vasquez These are leverages I don't wish on anyone. I have very broad shoulders and a pretty big back/ass, so I do carry my weight well. Which is why I need to go up to 96. lol
One of the best master classes I've ever seen.
More of this, please!
Watching this video felt like Dave dissected my exact technique issues. Unreal. Really helpful content!

Great stuff. Please pick quieter setting as audio is rough. Person in background won’t shut up when guy is giving pearls of wisdom.

Wanted to ask the same thing.
Chinese lifters appear to actively do the "hitching" that Spitz is saying to avoid.
Are there more educational videos like this on yalls Patreon

I do the same thing during the 2nd pull of the snatch. Just rush it.
You do realize you're lifting on Wes Kitts' platform right? ;)
It was an honor. Still not as cool as watching him jerk 225 from the blocks on that platform....
awesome dude.At what age did you start and how long have you been doing weightlifting?!
Who in the world throws a dislike at this video?
very cool

"Just relax"
*externally rotate delts, fix this, fix this, fix this"

Josh is about 5"10 and 90kg. Moving up to the 96kg class from the 89kg class. His progress the past few months has been brilliant.
Weightlifting House 👍 How long he has been lifting?!

great video! I really love it! Will work with those drills on my lazy turnover :)
It's a game changer.
Yes! I‘m quite mobile, so the overhead position has never been a problem. But I tend to „fall“ into it 🙈
