I havent logged on my cap since three months, when I open the game, respec my red line, head in front of the dummy... and POOF slapped a hit with twice the DPS I did before the update I immediatly looked on your channel for explanations 😆
Fantastic! I adjusted a build to match yours. Slight different than the previous approach. Can't wait to see how it goes. PLEASE do more of these. REALLY like them. Well done, Sir!
giving him the ability to summon the skirmish soldier for free as one if his red traits will make cap a blast to play solo with 2 summons and an actual RP value tbh
Yeah, overall I'm liking the Captain changes so far (Yellow in my locked at 50 group and Red on my newly-140 and under-geared), but I'm definitely missing some of our previous self-healing options outside of Marks. Net positive, but that part does sting.
While I'm enjoying supporting groups it's frustrating trying to complete high tier delvings with my red captain solo. My champ's self heals are way way better than captain's and can easily complete tier9-10 delvings. I mean rallying cry, heals for around 20-25k when the weakest dot in a delving is 50k+. Red captain's heals are non existent. A high amount self heal after a kill (like red champ) would definitely help.
@@Stratigoz While my Cappie is nowhere near as geared as my Champ, I have the exact same experience. Red is still rough on the output and the sustain, but it's better than it was overall. I'm not certain how much of that is on the Cappie, and how much is just "Champ is Beast" :D
I just recently started playing LOTRO and started with the Captain. Since I'm playing with my wife, would you still suggest going with Red Captain, or would Blue or Yellow be a better option?
For questing/overland content, I'd say Red in a duo. Very little you will run into doing non-dungeon content will require something like a dedicated tank or healer. Your damage and buffs will probably serve you better.
As someone who frequently takes long breaks from LOTRO, your spec guides are important for me, thanks!

Thanks. Chatgpt told me I would likely like this class. I can't wait to try it.

Hope it works well for you!
I just came back after 1.5 years or so, and actually just started a red captain, so I was lucky to see this! Ty for info as always.
Might just roll a new little captain to see how it plays out. Thanks again for your effort in producing these vids Louey. very much appreciated
Thank you Louey7 for captaining the revamp.
Thank you so much for doing this! You are the lotro😅 resource!

Great video. I'd definitely like to see one for blue line!
Don't even play a captain, but here i am.
Awesome work louey!!
i like the red cappy changes, but I hoped red cappy can get more than 1 ability for selfhealing

Hey, Louey7, great video, man! Would you mind to recommend me some class and specs that would be chill to run small fellowship contents solo?
Great Video. As a level 133 Red Capt. What area should my moral be at. It looks like to me a lot low but need a guide line to work with.
At level 130, I had about 200-300k.
At the start of 140, I was just a bit over 300k. With decent endgame gear, you'll likely have over 800k-1 mil
@@Louey7 thank you
Great guide Louey. Do you plan make a one about blue captain too?
Great video!
Red Captain got a little extra dps but lost a whole lot of self+group heals, just happy it didn't end up like U35 Warden.
Worth leveling???
A little? I've seen red cappies hitting 700k+ dps.
Yay! No more falling asleep or wanting to drink bleach while levelling a captain between level caps!
Hopefully!

Def red overland the others will be slow.
@@stonymontana9773 Awesome, thanks for the advice :)
@@Stands-In-The-Fire Great! Thank you! I've been learning alot from these videos.
New to LOTRO and looking for a populated/active server, any recommendations?
