I loved every minute of this - but was extra-tickled at the beautiful iris at the start and lovely little song at the end - perfect "headers and footers" for the main action in the middle. :-)
I came across one of your videos one day and have since watched them all ! I have learned so much ! I look forward to seeing anything you put out! I love the music and your home is so beautiful ! Keep doing what you do ! I love it !
Hi Marie, thanks for another great tutorial. I think the blouse looks so lovely made in the rayon, and much nicer than the example on the packet, because of the drape. I would definitely consider making this pattern now, whereas before I sort of passed it by. Thanks so much for all your tutorials - I learn so much from every single one that it would take a while to list all those amazing tips here, just wanted to say that its so appreciated. Also, very cool music 💚
Beautiful blouse Marie. I agree, working with rayon can be challenging but the comfort and drape is well worth it. I sometimes use light spray starch ( testing first), and that helps a lot to structure and manage the fabric. Thank you for all the detailed instructions.
Your blouse really suits you, it's a lovely print and worth all the work you put into it. I really enjoy your videos, they are so informative and i like that you don't rush all the steps. Thank you!
So cute! Love all your tips. I'm going to have to get this pattern. I need to wait for the sale. Thank you for doing this, as I'm learning from all your tips.
Thank you Marie a lovely blouse and a very clear tutorial especially the alteration of the pattern which is always a problem for me, I’ll definitely give this pattern a try. Thank you.
This blouse is beautiful on you, and I learned so much ~ AGAIN! Thank you! Love the turning apparatus, but I loved learning you have a musical daughter and your parents still! How wonderful! ... I lost both parents while still young, sadly, so I enjoy everyone else’s even more.. My sewing machine is also German! It’s a Singer 316G, bought while my parents lived in Germany in the mid 50’s, from a man toting it around on a tiny moped! Lol. It weighs a ton, and it would be one of the first things out the door if I had a fire.. lol. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, your day, and loved ones. 🌿🧡🌿
Thank you so much! Oh my, the 316G is a beast! Im trying to picture it on a moped :)I do treasure my family, although everyone is spread out across the country now. Thank you again for all your kind words 😊
Lovely blouse, I'm with you on the sleeves . Great tips on altering the pattern . Yes to the dress from the blouse. This maybe my summer blouse for the one or two weeks we get in midlands UK. I love seeing that your dog and cat getting in on the video they must love there new found fame. x
Thank you again for a great tutorial. I know rayon is a finicky fabric but is one my favorites. Living down south where is always hot is so perfect for its drape and coolness. By the way “look at you with over 2400 followers”!
I love this blouse. I have several patterns that I am going to sew for an upcoming trip. One is one you have already did a tutorial. I can't wait to watch and sew from your tutorial. Thank you for sharing. Love, love your podcast.
Love the blouse! I will make this pattern. Your instructions are very clear. I suggest trying elastic bobbin and sewing rows on the sleeve hem. It makes a soft stretchy area. That old fashioned bias tape casing looks like it adds bulk not that the public sees it but it gives a "home made" look to the garment. Thank you!
I'm going to order the tricot, thank you for showing me exactly the one you ordered. I have that catalogue. Love the top. Great instructional video. thank you
LOVE all your videos. Watching you always from Miami but now on vacation from my birthplace in Argentina. Bought a Burda magazines here cause I have to sew something while on vacation too lol !
Hi, I love how you teach us your technique in sewing. I am trying to sew Butterick 6767. I have a few questions about adjusting the pattern tissue. I am 70 yrs old and some things have gone south like my apex. any ideal on how to lower that area. my high is 38 inches so I cut out a 16 which is good at the shoulders but the center front is 1inch from my center of my chest. I would be so great ful for any help, I loved how the blouse looked on you. God Bless Wanda
Hi Wanda, thankfully this pattern is loose enough that at least for my opinion you shouldn't have to lower the Apex. However I would hold off on putting any buttons or buttonholes on until after you've had a chance to try it on, and base where it overlaps on your body and not on the pattern placement. I do have another video that shows a basic method for lowering a bust Apex, but again for this pattern I found it it has a lot of ease. I hope that helps
Hi can you provide a link to the red tape you used to mark the pattern markings onto the fabric? Thanks! I love watching your videos and learning new sewing skills.
Yes. Stay stitching would work to prevent stretching also. I think that they actually only called for stitching the neckline. The tape is just easy to put in other places too
Cute dog and beautiful iris.
That’s such a lovely and comfortable blouse. It’s got so many colors in it, you could wear it with so many skirts or pants.
I love that you model at the end. It’s a real view of the garment in action. Lovely.
I loved every minute of this - but was extra-tickled at the beautiful iris at the start and lovely little song at the end - perfect "headers and footers" for the main action in the middle. :-)
Thanks Marie for another lovely vlog! What a talented family! 😀

Great idea on the starch. I use it alot on lace but had not thought about it for rayon. Thank you!

Yes, I do like that shirred look the elastic bobbin gives. Next time for sure!

So well explained thank you 🌻
Oh, I really love this top! Great job!
looking good
So cute!!!
it's so cute
Lovely as usual. I took your advice ie woven vs knit patterns and used a woven pattern and made a top using jersey. You are so inspiring. Thankyou ❤️
Looks great. I'm going to find my Waywak catalog and order some of the tricot tape.
I like the way the flounce looks like a shawl collar in the back
This looks so nice on you- TY for the detailed instructions - I am going to get a Waywak catalogue !
really nice. love it.
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful!

I haven't used that tape but I have used a light weight interfacing that's made for Jersey knits. It helps a whole bunch.
Hello Angelina! The tricot tape is basically the knit interfacing that is cut into a strip. Thank you so much for watching!
❤️❤️❤️
Hi can you provide a link to the red tape you used to mark the pattern markings onto the fabric?
Thanks!
I love watching your videos and learning new sewing skills.
I just added it to the list of links! Thanks for watching :)
OMG 🤯 where did you purchase that fabric turner???
Just added a link for it :) Thanks!!
Very pretty. Do you make thread chain loops to hold up the tie?
Enjoying all your videos, love the skirt you wear with the blouse. Can you give the pattern info on that?
Thanks so much!
Hi! That skirt is a very basic elastic waist skirt pattern of 2 rectangles. But sometimes that is all you need 😁
What was the fusible tape that you used on a neckline to stabilize it? I’m especially wanting to know of the one you bought from Wawak.
It was 1" wide tricot. FCW-11
Do you think that staystitching would be just as effective as tape in preventing stretch? I just ordered this pattern so am very interested. 😊 Thanks!
Yes. Stay stitching would work to prevent stretching also. I think that they actually only called for stitching the neckline. The tape is just easy to put in other places too
Breast that's been around for a while? 😅
