One of my favorite Stones songs. Very good job. The band sounds great, and I'd love to know how many groupies Dad has to swat away. He rocks it out on every video.
Great work on this. Rolling Stones songs were the easiest for me to learn in 1969 70. Loads more you can do like this from the Stones. Julie hit it really nice on vocals. Dad is got it. Vocals Bass, drums, and added guitar are all right on. Love it!!
Been a Stones fan for many years, absolutely love this! The young ladies vocals on this one are killer. The whole band rocked but I felt like she kicked it into overdrive. Keep up the great work!
Considering modern pop trends, crossover, sampling and a resurgence of the authenticity coming from the likes of your analog instruments that add such a tactile, raw energy into your music and with artists like Dua Lipa collaborating with Elton John, TNO's are actually way ahead of their time. ❤✌
This band is the closest I have ever come to experiencing what my late father experienced while discovering these bands at the birth OF these bands. This band - and Kalidia, that is. It is a valuable thing that I am here to witness a band who just started out and who has learned songs from the greats - and made something unique and interesting from that. It wasn’t that long ago that we had to put on a record and learn directly from the pros - that takes an extreme austere amount of talent and practice. Lessons help a lot. One of the best things about technology is that I can learn not only how to play great songs but gain some insight or at least a vibe of how a band starts out, from watching your videos. Back when it was playing the records until they wore out, you had to get frustrated because your Telecaster didn’t sound like THEIRS did. However, even if I actually guessed correctly about it being a Telecaster (one of the easier tasks as there weren’t as many guitar brands back then), I can see this video and realize that - oh! No wonder it sounds so wide, warm, bass-heavy and rich and somehow “cutting” and almost having a “cooing” sound that an infant makes - definitely NOT like a Les Paul - it’s TWO Telecasters and ONE of them has two humbuckers! This is the day that I will finally be getting the opportunity to show my brother The Night Owls. My autistic son, who rarely speaks anymore but is happy, smiles a lot, laughs and sings in different frequencies without words, is into Spanish speaking music like Selena - the Queen of Tejano and the late great front woman of a famous family band in different Spanish speaking communities at the border - and in more northern parts of USA. I’ll put on something downstairs, and my son, being a typical teenager, will go upstairs, put on 89.3 FM KUVO on Sundays, crank my clock radio in my bedroom all the way up so that he can listen to multiple genres of Spanish speaking music that play all day and all night (with the exception of Cenir’s Brazilian Fantasy from 6-8 PM MST - that’s in Portuguese). He then sits on his bed in his bedroom in a lotus posture and meditates while listening KUVO. Yes I do yoga but no I did not teach it to him (in fact, I don’t listen to music when I meditate). He has the music up so loud in my room that he can hear it just fine in his room.
I just NOW found this band! I hope the bass and the girl are brother and sister and/or husband and wife (heck, I hope the band are somehow friend/related with inseparable bonds!) I want them to CONTINUE rocking and rolling! (Folks, there's NOT many bands who actually PLAY AS A BAND like this anymore!) ...I suspect my opinion is "biased" because the songs I adore from The Night Owls are "moldy-old" things from my and my parents' generation! Back in the day, we used to wear an onion on our belt, as was the "style" at the time! 😜🤪
I would love to see that Julia Cat sing some Axel Rose that would be a HOOT , get it... HOOT , cause your the night owls. .. Thanks for sending out the content, A lot of people are getting the Night Owl l Fever ,
Excellent! Love the way stayed in a slow groove the way it should be. Next time add in that overdriven harmonica, it's a big part of the OG recording 😉
Do vocalists have monitors? Can they hear themselves? It sounds like the input to the mixer it being overloaded or maybe somewhere else in the recording chain. Other than that, it is a great cover.
Yeah we need a soundman badly. Lol no monitors no nothing All the levels are set live and high because we're competing with a drum set in a small room. It's crazy
We should. But that would take more time. We decide on a song at dinner time then each learner parts and then go record it an hour later. If you gave us a week per song we would definitely do that
@@TheNightOwlsBand But it doesn't take any longer to learn to play in a different key , I went and listened to several of your recordings over 4yrs before I commented to see if it was a 1 off problem but it wasn't .
She absolutely is. The guitar is tuned to open E. So if you put a bar across the seventh fret you have a "B"chord. If you put a bar across the fifth fret, you have an "A" chord. And if you put a bar across the third fret, you would have a g chord. And those my friend are the proper chords and is exactly how Keith Richards actually tunes his guitar to this song and plays them. But you know better than me I guess...😂🤷
Just checked...she is def playing the barre chords of Csharp B and A on the chorus according to her strum hand positions. Maybe you should learn how to play guitar before making such claims
And she plays another instrument! Dad, you did a great job with all the kids. A very talented family
We appreciate the kind words. Thanks for watching!
@@TheNightOwlsBand-could you play "Hang Fire" by the Stones?🎸🎸🎶🎵👍
What a way to end 2024 with a classic Stones cover. Fantastic Happy New Year

Nice! Marty Sender You Tube
Thanks Marty!
Don't know how hard itd be to pull off but how about a rock version of Paparazzi or Bad Romance?..The voice would be perfect for either.
We should! Julia loves Lady Gaga too
Rip me apart if ya want but has anyone thought of changing the key to accommodate that girls voice range.
We should. But that would take more time. We decide on a song at dinner time then each learner parts and then go record it an hour later. If you gave us a week per song we would definitely do that

I'm sorry but the female guitar player is not even playing the right chords she's not even playing cards at all
