It was nice to get out. It's been over a month since my last backpacking trip. Headed over to Mahoney Zone for tarp & bivy camping and bass fishing.

Looks like you had a lot of deer running around there.
Love those views at your camp. And that sunset
Those coyotes sounded close
Cool video my friend 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks! I saw quite a bit of animals out there. The coyotes were really close but I didn't see any of them. It was great to be out there. 👍
Near the end, you mentioned sock liners being a game changer - mind if I ask which ones? Thanks!
I picked up REI's version. There is a link in the lighterpack.
@@rodoutdoors you're awesome, just put a couple in my cart. Thanks!
Deers are out and about - what is the tick situation down at Henry Coe? Heard tick presence is on the rise lately
I just assume they are everywhere around here. Bugs are starting to come out.
How do you prepare for ticks?
@@kraftevol I treat my clothes and gear with permethrin. I usually go through a 24 oz Sawyer bottle in a year. Then apply picaridin behind my knees or around my waist.
