Great trip! That’s a beautiful area. The openness but yet trees around. Beautiful sunset while you were running. I like the color of the one light you were using that had warmer tones and that you can remove it and clip it to your shoulder strap. Seemed like you had cooler temperatures. I miss cooler temperatures lol. I love my UCO lantern. Just enough light.

      @@backpackingadventures4813 Thanks a lot!
Yeah this headlamp rabbit hole really made me want to try them out lol. The Skilhunt H150 is my favorite for around the house or everyday use. It's really compact and can also use AA NiMH or alkaline batteries. I picked up an extra 1050mAh 14500 battery that has a USBC port built in. The warm light is really nice on the eyes.
I really like the form factor of these right-angle flashlights. The clip is super useful and there's a magnet at the base to mount it on metal objects.
Love the candle lantern. Felt it was being neglected lol. It's also great in the Winter to burn off some condensation under the shelter.

Epic trip. Thanks for taking us along. Love that bivy / tarp set up. Rattlers on high grass single track... my worst nightmare. 😅 Really well done! Thanks again for posting.

@@highcountrychronicles Ey thanks! It's always nice to escape to Henry Coe. Except when there's rattlesnakes lol. Thinking of doing a quick midweek overnight trip there since I've been itching to get out but might head out to Emigrant Wilderness soon.

That movie definitely made an impression on me. Probably made me like camp fires lol

What a trip, watched the whole thing - so relaxing. Your skills with knots and managing all the guy lines is impressive - did you specifically watch videos to learn? What are the knots ant tying tips you’d recommend for a newbie?
Looking forward to your sierra video!

      @@Prasannathani Thanks a lot! I took a lot from Andrew Skurka's guide.

In the lighterpack it shows more details of my guy out lines and stakes. I use LineLoc Hooks too which are great but for the main lines I like using ZingIt and knots. McCarthy Hitch and Trucker's Hitch are handy.
