- I show you how to build a super heavy duty gate frame to support a heavy set of gates that are 6' wide each that will never sag. I welding up some 11 gauge 4 inch material for the gate posts with header. 3 inch tubing for the actual gates. I show you how this welds up and where it ends up.

Can u share the welder you use. The metal also, did you buy it painted? If so where? Thanks
Durttay I welded the metal with my Weld Pak HD by Lincoln Electric. It is a 120v welder that is flux core only and was barley big enough to do the job. I have since upgraded to a Hobart 210MVP mig that would have done much better, but that is what I had at the time. I did achieve strong welds. I did not get it on camera but we ended up hitting the frame really hard with the skid steer and noting failed. I purchased the metal from Forney Fence and all of there metal comes powder coated.

I never tried welding with a flux core, I'm pretty sure you did well though considering the handicap that they are vs a MIG welder. Also nice fabrication looks great dude.

Where does one find those metal square tubes? I tried home depot & lowes website, none. Or are they called something else that I should Google?
I bought them from a fence supply place that carries wrought iron and wood fence supplies. You can also get them at metal supply stores. Big box stores will not have it.

dogo argentino if I was not doing it for myself I would not do it. It would be too hard to do on site for me. If I had to put a number on it $1800 but I would not want to do it for that. Thank you for the question.

what thickness of steel did you use for your gate doors?
16 gauge on the 3” doors and 11 on the 4” posts.
