Thinking back to your childhood, can you imagine how expensive and how large the modern-day machinery would be to make a clay pipe today . And the expense. The craftsmanship back then , to make a pipe in their thousands to be thrown away when finished costing a few penny's. Amazing stuff. Enjoying your channel emencly.
I don't smoke anything but love these videos. Maybe its because I remember watching my granddad prepare, light and smoke his pipe and watching the smoke rise and curl around ...and the wonderful aroma wafting its way to me.
The lovely Julia is such a lovely addition to your channel. Very happy couple. If it all goes away I believe my choice would be Boswell's Northwoods. What a lovely smoke.
I am in my Deisel Heated man cave this morning watching your wonderful video again. I'm smoking my Brebbia Rubin pipe with My Smoking Shops, Gentleman's Choice tobacco, which is a nice, gentle, easy smoke. Also, like very much Clan and St Bruno. Six months in to pipe smoking and thoroughly enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of my new hobby. Thanks again for making smile. 😊😊😊
Started on my 16th birthday 38 years ago. It took me about 20 years to find what I thought would be my forever blend. McClellands Blackwood's flake. Unfortunately it went away and I only have a couple of tins stashed by. I switched over to HH Old Dark Fired but now that too is going away. Interesting metal pipe never seen one quite like it before. Hopefully you two will be allowed to continue to enjoy your pipe journey. Jim
My favourites are Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake - widely regarded in Europe and to many in USA as the best pure virginia - and agree with Peterson Early Morning Pipe for the English blend category - would be happy with those forever 😊
Feel you pain - same weather here... Phoop... LOL My favorite, "Desert Island Tobacco": JM Boswell - No Bite DeLite. Chocolate flavor aromatic. Fabulous !
Cheers! Like having a nice chat with friends … totally understand that ‘pipe dream’ moment and why it is thing to be protected! I quite enjoy Condor in my Peterson!
Hello, really have been enjoying watching your videos. I just ordered some more Northwoods by JM Boswell to jar up. I’m still only about a year into my pipe smoking journey but I really like it. Hope the weather cheers up a bit for you.
I like Virginia and Perique together. At the moment- the tobacco I would love to buy a large amount of would be Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bulls Eye Flake. The ratio of Virginia to Perique is perfect for my taste. It would probably age well.
Peterson Nightcap is my favourite tobacco. If you're an Englishman, it's perfect. I uploaded a review on it the other week. That pipe you have could potentially be a Falcon pipe or a reproduction of one.
McBarren Classic ( Vanilla ) Flake....so lovely ! You can take some shards of clay pots ( you can also buy them in tobaccostores ) , soak them in water and put them in your tobacco.I guess you could use your wooden pots in that way for tobacco.
Hiya you wonderful couple. I love these pipe related videos a lot I'm on the verge of acquiring my first pipe myself and would like to buy one of yours if possible. I would have to send you cash as I don't have a debit or credit card so's to never be in debt. The pipe you showed is very similar to a falcon pipe but I've never seen one of those ones before. I look forward to seeing your pipes for sale and would love to do some business regarding said pipes. See you both soon. Kindest regards Si. ✌😎.
Country Squire’s Cowboy Coffee. Virginia, Dark Fired Kentucky and Cavendish. They are located in Jackson, Mississippi US. I inquired if they are able to ship to the UK and EU. Unfortunately the licensing fees and registry fees to ship are astronomical.
Big apple pipes have done a great interview with a guy from STG - certain tobaccos will stay in certain country markets so not everything going - old dark fired still available in Germany etc 😊 not as bad news as it seemed
My every morning bowl is Sutliff Pina Colada tobacco blend. Same pipe and tobacco every morning. Sad that its going away, i just hope that i have enough, and that it keeps flavor for the next couple years.
Hello, I have bean enjoying your journey back into pipes, The pipe is probably a Peterson meerschaum as Parker always had a diamond shape around the P . Do you have an address i can send you some bits and bobs. Tree...
Peterson's (formerly Dunhill) Elizabethan Mixture. In my humble opinion, it is simply THE best, most well-rounded, quintessential pipe tobacco EVER made. It's a Virginia Perique blend (VaPer). I think you would like it as well from the standpoint of nicotine. It's about a 6.5-7. Not a nicotine bomb, but just enough so that you definitely know it's there. PLEASE, do yourself a favor and try it. I would be shocked if you didn't absolutely LOVE IT. It's also a perfect all day blend, too. All the best to you both from the USA. Best of luck with your channel in the new year! Sending MAGA 2025 vibes to you, my friend! 😉
The only person I think who’ll know is BrutalEnough Chris is a wealth of knowledge and if anyone will know he will, great bowls too. Enjoy your Sunday.
I must admit, I wouldn't enjoy a nicotine patch as much as a pipe of Samuel Gawith, Perfection or Black Cherry. I also enjoy Peterson, Early Morning Pipe and Germains, PC (Plumb Cake)
The combination of acetaldehyde and nicotine in cigarettes appears to be more addictive than nicotine alone. The addition of sugars may thus increase the addictive nature of tobacco products. In tobacco smoke or in vivo, tryptophan may react with aldehydes to form beta-carbolines, like harman and norharman. One way the tobacco industry has manipulated cigarettes to increase addictiveness is by loading cigarettes with chemical compounds. Bronchodilators were added so that tobacco smoke can more easily enter the lungs. Sugars, flavors and menthol were increased to dull the harshness of smoke and make it easier to inhale. Ammonia was added so that nicotine travels to the brain faster. Specifically, increasing the amount of nicotine was of paramount importance to tobacco company executives. Experts found that Big Tobacco companies genetically engineered their tobacco crops to contain two times the amount of nicotine and adjusted their cigarette design so that the nicotine delivered to smokers increased by 14.5 percent.

I’m sick of all this government control. We should be able to make our own choices. All the best to you two ❤
Petersons Early Morning Pipe is my go to blend and I have a few tins stashed away to mature .

The tobacco plan will never come to pass as we approach 'The Shift' 🙂🙂
Some people have been waiting for 'the shift' since the 1960s chap, wouldn't hold your breath.
Sounds like you have read a Hugh Howey series?
That's a brilliant idea, all you need is a silicone gasket made to suit the diameter

We all know from history how Prohibition worked out . Our great dictators never learn.
Funny thing is I said the same thing as you to my partner today. They will make criminals of us all if they had their way.
Thank you, please do more 😊❤
Rattrays Bagpipers Dream is my favourite and Sutliff Great Outdoors is one I am stocking up on…
My favorite blend is Pirate Kake from Cornell & Diehl, as I absolutely love Latakia.

I would like to try Edward G's mix.
@@visionlandmusic I did a review on my channel a while back . Smoking Hare Tavern
Peterson's My Mixture 965 or De Luxe Navy Rolls.
The metal pipe looks like an old German medico filtered pipe
My grandad used to smoke a chocolate smelling one but i cant remember the name anymore. 😢
Probably Bobs Chocolate flake .
My absolute favourite Bobs C❤
@@craigl813 ..Yes nice blend that is, I believe it must now be called Bobs Flake for some reason of the authorities.
@@craigl813..EU regulations now say it must be called just Bobs Flake in the EU countries ..Don’t think that will catch on.
I'd buy my weight of Gawith & Hogarth Dark Flake if that was possible.
Whats about Nicotine you mentioned?
If nicotine isn't addictive with do people become addicted to cigarettes?
