Thirteen minutes later, home security cameras captured the sound of the helicopter passing over this neighborhood and then the moment of impact. The wreckage of the downed helicopter has now been airlifted out of the crash site and transported on the back of a truck for further investigation. #InsideEdition

the pilot had a choice to do a procedure that would have saved the aircraft (basically going up) but he must’ve felt the pressure to get kobe at the game on time

They didn't even know what was about to happen. There was no distress calls at all. Just smack into a hillside. The pilot had know idea what was about to happen.

I feel more sad about his 13 year old daughter who barely got to love her life and all those kids who died along with her.

My husband's dad died in a helicopter crash in 1984. He was the assistant warden at a prison in Middle Tennessee and 4 inmates had escaped so they went up in a helicopter to search for them, thought they spotted them, flew too low and hit some TVA power lines. He was only 35. My husband was 4 and his sister was 3😢 The family still hasn't gotten over it. It's something that is never talked about bc my mother in law breaks down if you even mention his name. My heart breaks for Kobe's wife, Vanessa, and their kids. They'll never be the same💔

@@Happyx222 they didn't know they were gonna crash till abouts 30 seconds left, if you listen to the pilots audio and watch the video he was talking calmly with the air traffic people, then he just went quiet, 30 seconds later the air traffic people lost the chopper on their radar

Kobe's death hurts more than other celebrities deaths. Most other celebrities that died were already on a health decline or abusing drugs.
But Kobe didnt do drugs. He was still relatively young and just retired a few years ago. He was still active in the sports world and had a bright future in business ahead of him. On top of that he was a family man and died with one of his daughters. It's just the most tragic celebrity death I can think of.

Kobe and his Wife made a promise to never fly in a helicopter or plane together in case they crash. If they were to crash, the children will at least have 1 parent to live with. I’m sure they never thought it would happen, but who knows. We don’t like to think of it, but our life can end at any point in time.

I lost my father to a house fire in a crucial point in my life when he was 53. I was 18. I thought he was young for the longest time. Kobe was in the prime of his life. He already affected millions of people. Just imagine what he could have done in 10-20 years fully concentrating on his family and the community with his drive. His death changed the world

Essentially the pilot flew into the clouds and instead of relying on his instruments he was so spacially disoriented that he thought he was climbing, but instead he was making a sharp left turn descending rapidly that hit the mountain.
