Yep, he got lazy on the hardest parts. Still, if he wanted to, he could nail the studio version note for note. Trust me, his Angra stuff was way more complex than anything on Megadeth's repertoire.

Marty is so 1990-2000 tho and if he stayed I think the music could’ve gotten a lot worse
The crazy thing is, I always felt like everything had to be note for note perfect and I was super critical; when Broderick was there, I felt like he was amazing technically, but I could never dig his style. Didn't feel very deep, nor musically to me (careful: opinion!). Now with Kiko playing it totally differently, I started to realize: man, it really doesn't matter how on point it is, the personality matters. This guy is just so positive and likable and has a great sound, I feel like him changing stuff, him putting his own style into the stuff is legitimately the cherry on top - really like the old Marty-times feeling. It's not like a cover anymore, it's something new. And man do I like the feeling of hearing a great song like Tornado of Souls for the first time again! You know you got a great style when you change something very popular and not only get away with it, but enhance it.
He definitely earned it and that’s all that matters to me.
He played it with all of his heart! something the previous guy could never do yet he was terribly skilled at playing.. 2nd best thing ever happend to Megadeth after Marty. Truly..

Chris Broderick is a great guitar player but I don't think he was right for megadeth

Chris Broderick has a great skill I saw him at concert and he played the tornado of souls solo as if it was nothing.
Broderick was a monster of a player. But yeah he never seemed to be into the whole thing

Clearly Kiko has more than enough technique to play Megadeth’s music. His previous works are even more challenging.
This is considered one of the best solos in metal history, both for difficulty and feeling. This is challenge enough.

Entendo sua opinião, mas pra mim o Kiko já não tinha nada que melhorar. Pelo contrário, ele acrescentou mais ao Megadeth do que o Megadeth a ele. Inclusive ele disse numa entrevista para aquele youtuber Nando Moura que o Mustaine exige que ele tenha certo tipo de palhetada, bends e tal. Portanto ele acaba tocando um pouco diferente por exigência do Mustaine. Só torço pra que ele tenha cuidado para que o Megadeth não mude a forma do Kiko tocar que já excelente.
Sim, pegada e timbre, não gostava do timbre do Kiko no Angra , preferia o timbre do Raphael.Hoje não, agora posso dizer que gosto do som do Kiko e até o incluo entre meus guitarristas favoritos .Sinceramente sua pegada , dinâmicas e feeling é bem mais evidente pós Megadeth.

This is an awesome video of one of my favorite songs. The title makes me laugh a bit. I play guitar some, and the notion of "practicing at home" the Tornado of Souls lead parts is way beyond what I can do. So impressive.
