    Are you a Scale and Position keyframer?

    I have been editing for far too long to not know this. Thank you for the quick and concise tutorial.

    I hate you for this (after all the hours of keyframing I just did). But I also love you for this 💕👌🏻😅
    Thank for saving me time in the future

    Great video. Was watching it on my phone so it took me about four attempts to pick up where your mouse was when you said “go to the anchor point” about 1 minute in… but I got there in the end.

    Excellent alternative David... Will defiantly give it a try. Also, is there a way to quickly and accurately snap the anchor point to the centre of text so that when I adjust the size it increases or decreases from the middle?
    BTW, gentle note... your keyboard or mouse is tapping throughout, interrupting what is a great vid... just sharing from this side of the screen :-)

      The best way I'd go about centering text is by adjusting the justification in the Essential Graphics panel to Center alignment. That way any adjustments you do to scale will automatically come from the center.
      Keyboard is a clanky old thing unfortunately, but super comfortable to type with :-D

    The coders at Adobe must be doing weird things to only my version of Premiere. After clicking on anchor point, I then need to click on the motion title in the effects menu to move the anchor point to the position I intend to move it to. If not, the anchor point exhibits some very unintuitive behavior.

      Are you sure you're clicking on the anchor + and not the circle around it? The + will move the anchor. The O will move the while assets while it moves the anchor setting.

    Really quick, I discovered now changing some options and I suppose this is very intuitive when use After Effects too. Thnx dude.
    For you knowledge, already exist shorycuts for temporal interpolation too xd

    Thanks, this was great info. I've been doing it wrong for years. Sometimes I would click the motion option and then move the anchor point that appears on screen. What's the difference between that anchor point and the anchor point that appears when literally click the anchor point option?

    • @dodmedia
      @dodmedia  4 місяці тому +1

      The one that shows up just by clicking the motion option is usually the position marker not the anchor marker. They could have made it a lot more clear in the UI really..

    Well done lad. Is there a way to convincingly pan right to left using anchor point on a skyscraper so as to give off the impression I'm rolling a camera to the side but in reality I have one camera on a tripod? Prolly not but just thought I'd ask. Brilliant video.

      I think you'd need to keyframe the rotation property to get any simulation of a roll

  • @drexlerleon

    Is there anyway to auto center the anchor point in premiere?

  • @njneb

    nope. doesnt work. for whatever reason it keeps moving the entire video instead of the anchor point OR it creates a path for the anchor point and also moves the entire video out of frame.

    • @dodmedia
      @dodmedia  5 місяців тому

      Do you have either position or anchor keyframed? It's the only way I can imagine it's causing that behaviour!
