This is awesome! I wanted to add that I sometimes move the anchor point and re-center the clip so that the transforms aren't happening perfectly from the center for more variety. Also if you flip to the graphics panel it will reveal a preview of exactly where the anchor point has been moved to. Super handy when I want it to transform from a specific area in the clip instead of the center. Like zoom out from the bottom left corner or something like that.
Wow! This type of thing works in after effects too! After so many years I never realized I could use an adjustment layer like this with transform! Thank you!
Thanks for the giveaway Dave ! Can't wait to use the pack and create exciting videos ! I'll forever be indebted to josh olufemii team for equipping me with such high class industry level stuff !
*I have this issue* where using transform with position panning (on a clip scaled to 140) treats the clip as if 140 is 100 causing the black adge to appear on one side as it pans. The purpose of this pan preset is to use an adjustment layer over multiple cut up talking head clips while avoiding nesting the actual clips. *Any Thoughts to help?*
ah I see what you mean. if you nest the clips you'll get a similar result. In this case I think you'll need to put the transform effect on the actual clip.
Hi! You both helped me with something I was having trouble with and prompted me to suggest a little WATCH OUT to viewers. I was away from editing for a while, and when I came back I forgot where to find certain effects, like 'transform'. There are TWO. The one used in this excellent tutorial is nested under 'Distort'. There is a whole stack of effects under an altogether different 'Transform'. That's not it. I hope this helps.
I liked the tip with the adjustment layer to fade out the other clips, could come in handy. My handle is thomas;scherner, but with a dot instead of the semicolon (comment gets deleted if I write it correctly).
Your tip on adding transform effects to adjustments layers has sped up my workflow so much. Thank you!
LOVED THIS DAVE

All this time I had no idea adjustment layers had quite that much power. Only ever did color grading with them. Always learning! 🧐
Bro all these tips are legit and no bs. Thank you!
The zoom in effect was a nice tip thanks, keep up the good work guys!

Thanks for the tips 👍
Great video and thanks for the tips
Very helpful!! Thanks😁
Most dope..simply str8 4ward and going to use this in some projects 🔥
is a plugin for quickly scaling into a part of the frame without having to make position / anchor point keyframes as well?
hey may you please make a video about the skew effect under transform, like how to use it

@@HeavyReverb :(
I wish there was a solution for using the adjustment layer to co over multiple clips.
@@nextlevelwarrior why don’t you just keep the clip at 100 instead of zooming to 140?
@@HeavyReverb At 100 I cant pan the motion since the frame edges will become apparent.
@@nextlevelwarrior right right.
You could zoom in 140 in the transform effect though right?
how can i control the anchor point on the transform effect? to function the rotation and scale keyframing on what i want the outcome to be.
cool and very nice. thanks

6:43 how did you make that cut in just one click?
It’s just edit on the screen recording.
Although I’ve changed the “add edit” shortcut to my “E” key so cuts are super fast and easy
Love it
Thanks
How do we get that sound pack ?

What else would you use the transform effect for?

Not for beginners for sure

that's a sneaky little hack there. you'd think it'd be an easy cross fade job.
