I probably shouldn't be picking up dumbass habits like throwing out parry when it'd be a sick as hell read, but in that clip where you went for the safe jump, did you have the time to input the parry during the super freeze of May's reversal? Or did you need to have that inputted and buffered before the super freeze happened? it looked frame perfect and I don't know how putting in the inputs for specials and supers during a super freeze works in this game. Some insight would be nice!
I play on controller and it's hard as hell to do motion inputs, you either get what you want or you are somehow served ice cream while in a block of ice that's how damn inconsistent the controller is or my thumbs are just stupid
The may had 2 chances to learn. One was the gold burst and the second was the super counter. She chose to mash and consequently died for it. The anji actually played fairly well, although the gold burst was questionable. If their mind is in competitive mode, they learned valuable information that the may will mash at the end of the mini rekka. Next match i would test if they try to mash in earlier parts of the string to allow for a possible frame trap. If they respect, use safe staggers to get them to do something.
That gold burst was fine. If your doing nagiha that close to may on block you have to do something unless the may just doesn’t know. She can punish him easily there, one hit and he’d be dead so it was worth the risk.
