Please like and subscribe! I had an engine swap project in mind today, but I have a bum wrist, so... This is a video I put together with some new software, so please forgive its crudeness!
It looks like the heads on these engines are not coming with the spot to bolt your brace to. The Honda GX200 came with the muffler braced to the head. That head design continued with all clones. No clone engine that I'm aware of used the muffler brace that Honda used. It usually sits as an unused threaded hole in the head. When the Predator came out its head had it and I have seen it on hemi heads. This has to be a fairly recent change. I noticed it missing from the 224 head. Now I'm wondering if it's not on newer 196 (clone) heads. It is a good spot to brace an exhaust with but not many use it.
Deuce, yeah, it's kind of a moot point, as I swapped out the engine over the weekend, and didn't use the brace at all. I have a few little builds, and don't use a header brace on any of them. Thanks for stopping by!
Twayne, here you go. Supposed to be used with the bigger engines, but I am using it on a 79cc and it runs great with it, sounds dope too! gokartsusa.com/Honda-GX160-GX200-Frijole-Minibike-Stinger-Exhaust.aspx
Hey Maverick, no that was a non-hemi 212, already "downgraded" to a 79cc. ua-cam.com/video/skFHd_GODr0/v-deo.html I'll figure out another use for the 212. Thanks for stopping by!
Budhha Boy, they're in NorCal, I'm in SoCal, and it took about a week to get the roller frame. I ordered the pipe later, took about a week as well. I have heard the stories too, but my experience was positive. Hope this helps.
@@ogbigtsbikesandstuff887 thank you very much . I’m planning on buying one rn but I was really skeptical about it and other people reviews But I trust yours so thank you very much.
I started off using a Predator 212. Too much power for that tiny bike. The final version is a 79cc Predator clone. Same basic engine, but only about 2 or 3 hp.
Michigan-ish, no it's a "357" frame from Go Karts USA but you're right they look very similar. Zip tie melting? Yes, it will. I was going to mount it better, but I'm swapping engines this weekend so no rush. Ride safe, builder!
I had a taco...there awesome had it for 15 yrs gave it away to a couple of kids 3 weeks ago
Jerry, I think an OG like me messing with these little bikes is like my second childhood, lol
Thanks for stopping by!

How long did it take for your taco frame to come in from Gokartsusa ?
