  • Begun in 1386, the Duomo of Milan, also known as Milan Cathedral, took nearly 6 centuries to complete. It is one of the largest and most Gothic churches in Italy. The gilded statue at the top of its central spire is known as “La Madonnina” and is the symbol of the city of Milan.
