i am 58 year old male...i go to bed at 9 pm and get usually deep sleep till 2.30 or 3 am..then i just close my eyes and take rest till 4.30 am..after getting up i do freehand exercises and yoga breathing till 6 am..breakfast at 7 am and sunbath till 7.30...then i work from home which starts at 8 am..in between work also i walk for at least five minutes every half hour inside the house...evening i go for walk from 5 to 5.30 pm..i feel lot healthier though i had heart attack at 53 and have a stent in my heart...and important i eat everything in moderation...vegetables, nuts fruits, eggs, fish..meat...
Very High Quality and informative content . Ms. Sangeeta has given very important information. Today Eating home made food is highly recommended. I would like to add some points. Generation of 1980s like me used to play the game from 2-6 pm daily. Today I have noticed that either children have addicted themselves to PS4 Games inside or those who play outside have no friends to play with them. I sleep at 10:30 pm and get up at 7 am. In my office I take break for 15-20 minutes after each hour by standing up for that duration . I also ask my office colleagues to follow same pattern. By standing up your calories gets burn. Drink water regularly. In my school days that if our stomach is healthy our body is happy. It’s estimated that 90% diseases originate from stomach problem. We also learnt that that there are two intestines . One is small and other is big. If our matabolism is good then both intestines work very well . If metabolism is on the decline then these intestines become slow. If you exercise for 30 minutes daily the stress gets reduced. Another way of stress reduction is listen your favourite songs.

Asking this question since I don't have a lot of money for blood tests. If my hba1c fluctuates between 4.9 and 5.1 (multiple tests spanning 2 years), do I still need to test for fasting glucose, pp glucose and fasting insulin?? I do have skin tags on my neck though
Without non-veg, so many solutions are there in vegetarian, firstly we have to follow healthy lifestyle, other than episode was very, very useful and informative 👏
Two important things she missed are 1. fibre we eat doesn't do any good for us.. it is good for hut bacteria.. it loves it.. 2. the poop of bacteria is what our body happily uses..
Stay blessed you both. Very knowledgeable episode. Each marker discussed can be its own episode. Every Indian should strive to have at least this basic level of understanding about one's metabolic health.
Glad you enjoyed it. I know what you mean and we have another episode with Sangeetha that we released 3-4 weeks ago and we have another episode coming soon on gut with another expert. Stay tuned! To support us, pls share within your group. It will be a great help 🙏
Thank you Shoba ji for this information podcast. You were right, this is not funny. But why is this information not passed to all the Indians when these diseases like diabetes, metabolism issues, gut health has been from decades. Even when India is diabetic capital, there was no or is any inititative by the govt to spread this basic information which every Indian should know. There could have been programs on tv (doordarshan) where qualified persons give basic information on health. I am 40 years with diabetes and three of my other family members are diabetic. My mother consulted a few diabetologist, only medicines have changed. But not even one doc mentioned about the diet and vitamin deficiency. When asked a doc about diet, he had given a diet chart that was complex carbs focused with less protein and moderate vegetables. I guess even doctors do not have a proper information as dietitican/nutritionist have.
Excellent. Shobhaji you bring in superb and expert hosts in your programs. One suggestion do allow host to speak with less interruption as flow gets disturbed. Can you get an automated transcript of this discussion, it helps us to refer relevant in a faster way. In fact you can generate this and give a link to this pdf

many people are under the impression that if they walk for half an hour in a day that is enough...this is absolutely wrong..we need to keep moving throughout the day as and when we get time...especially post meal walk (moderate pace) after half an hour of breakfast, lunch and dinner is very essential..for just 10 to 15 minutes..this gives miraculous benefits of sugar control, improved digestion and wards off sluggishness.
