Mon Dieu.. This band pushed the envelope for me when I was coming of age, but the music video in particular seems to have a completely different combination of messages that create an umm.. "catchiness" and uncomfortable relatedness on so many levels as well. My completely subjective interpretation involves a to-do good, mid-western alpha male that exemplifies anyone out there that could've been either a great athlete, scholar, entrepreneur or whatever else, but having their "pants caught down", subsequently lead to their own personal tragedy either through drugs, or sacrificial volcano worship, or whatever. The song is so fun that he doesn't care, it makes you ask if we should? Even as a Rorschach test, it's both unique and entertaining!
I love all the instruments that arent actually in the song. Hes got an acoustic guitar and i think i saw bongos at some point in the background. Does anyone know what the foriegn language babbling at the end is?
@@ggmgreenscreens3573 The music video in itself is pretty random, you can speculate about it. It may just be an artistic choice rather than having a deeper meaning.
@@ggmgreenscreens3573 sounds like she’s talking about a shopping list or a food order and going to the same place everyday for a year and just now realising something about the whole situation. Can’t make out the last few words because it fades out.
i think those lyrics makes alot of sens, to my opinion , unprocted girl must be wilder then protected one, and infected one must be wilder and have mroe experience ^^,
No, he's using a variety of background images to imply that he's been all over the world, and having had so many different... relevant experiences, this is the conclusion he has reached: it's more fun without condoms, and he likes catching STDs. It's obviously all tongue-in-cheek. Like all of their songs, there's no deeper meaning.
Why at the end it's Lithuanian women ordering some burger with extra bacon and chocolate cola and then talks about the man behind the counter 😭 not complaining but I'm confused
The 'point' of this video, obviously, is to increase the power to a higher level.
Increase it
levil
You just know the video is gonna be good if it’s only available in 240p
Best song of the new age.
Immortalizing a generation.
It at once encapsulates a sense of uselessness, and desperation, ego, and triumph.
I really(really)REALLY like how this video is edited.
Where should we put the studio microphones?
Electric six: well of course inside the snare, ALL OF THEM!!
"Increase the power to a higher level" (SCREAMING in my head), while im myself infected and inebriated.
world need such songs so much :P
Easily their best video since Dance Commander!!! Can't wait for them to make videos of the rest of the songs from Switzerland (if they decide to)!

Its clearly about a man on a personal journey with his magical acoustic guitar that sounds electric

13 years later you shall have the answer to your question, the background languages are Russian and at the end it’s Lithuanian.

Is there anybody who gets the meaning of the lyrics please?
It's about women that are uninhibited and enjoy sex. If you ask puritanical types, women like this are "infected" by the Dev-vill 👹
It's about catching an STD and liking it.
Its the "Pleasing Interlude I" story done in Romanian.
Is that what it is.
The background chatter had been a subject of some controversy for some time.
Perhaps even heralding the apocalypse.
