I resonated with so much of this... The missiles facing the wrong way, the inexplicable random initial maneuvers, the obliterating multiple marauders... All that was missing was a perfect shot from the marauder turning the aircraft into confetti.

i think its a great prefab. its like a blank slate ready for customization and i was using it a few days ago to learn how to build smaller jets bc all my other aircraft were like 5 times it size
When you have an aircraft like this with limited space, underwing pylons work well with the rail launchers. You can even fit large missiles on them. The wireless missile receivers make it easy. Pitch, roll and yaw is really easy with the small jets rather than just wings, though the custom control surfaces work well. Also don't forget the pids. They really help stabilize your craft. And dual circle ai with acb control make for a better attack run ai the the provided one. The attack run ai is too predictable and anything can hit it. Good vid!
@@colin9040 I use two circle at distance ai settings controlled by acb. One for closing in and the other for going away. Basically functions the same as the attack run ai, but it allows the aircraft to move up and down rather than holding a steady altitude. If you go to BWI's discord, the torpedo bomber I uploaded uses it. For fighters, I add a third ai setting, to have them engage aircraft as the priority. If you know breadboard or lua, you could probably do the same thing and maybe easier, but I don't.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was using smalm missiles, not knowning the launchpads can have the setting "Drop as bomb", Missiles going anywhere but the target unless they had a laser And even then not so great.
After I get a working computer I might try this, or something stupid like a harpoon bomber, probably the latter, I like building cursed vehicles, like my jet with a big wing on side and broadside guns on the other.
Borderwise, I am working on a plane for the Sewowal Republic, it is armed with a burst continuous laser that aims for hot blocks, so that it is likely to destroy jet engines of enemy aircraft. I intend this to be a formidable plane with a cost of 150k-200k, any advice to make it unique but still dangerous? Also I will take a while to finish this due to time constraints.
@@BorderWise12 I am bad at aesthetics, but you just gave me an idea: Make a black high altitude space plane that is extremely expensive, but can serve as both a space interceptor and a high altitude bomber.
I made an identical copy of this plane, they must have changed something because it still can't maintain altitude and flies into space like yours at 12 minutes. Despite corrections like yours, it still flies at 900-1200 meters
@@BorderWise12 I checked everything 8 times according to your video and unfortunately it flies all the time between 1500 -1200 m - the settings are identical to those in the video....

My plane did the opposite of what it was told to do. Go fly south ? Nah, it goes west instead. Lower the pitch and get to lower altitude? Nah, Imma become spaceplane. I checked everything. Aircraft is facing the front. Reversed ai mainframe and controller, still it disobey every single order.
@@morimoriplaygames A common problem! :D 1. Make sure propulsion lines up with the centre of drag. 2. Have pitch control altitude and have plenty of pitch control. Hope that helps! 😁

have you checked out the tetris of the crossbones? it now uses 3D triples with tetris so simple its frustrating. Compact too!
How do you hide the blocks to make them invisible while building the "guts"?

Are you sure the pitch control is set up right? It's easy to miss stuff in this game.
