When I was a kid in the 70s and my older brother bought 'Devil Gate Drive', the only people I knew of Suzi Quatro's age were in care homes. It's inspiring to see Ms Q so energetic and creative. Maybe I can be that way when I reach her age. I'd like to think so.

Fortunately old enough to have grown up with Maddy Prior, Sally Carr, Joan Jett.....and my biggest teenage voice crush Suzi Quatro. We didn't have TV, due to sanctions never knew what she looked like. But, fifty years later, Suzi has a very special safe corner in my heart, where she can kick off her boots, grab a guitar and rock until the cows come home. Suzi is part of who I am. Oh, and Kate Bush. The seventies had honest, unwoke rock, much better than the woke New Age "progressive" drivel of the 80's and 90's.
