IMO makes sense in co-op. You only have two mining bases in that mode, so your chronos are much less frequent, and you finish the match before you mine out anyways.

Oh my god it just hit me, he made the nexus because he doesnt have anything better to spend minerals on as zealots would get disrupted, cannons are garbage vs terran, and hes going mega gas heavy skytoss
wouldnt banking it up for interceptors still be better? I mean one nexus okay but two was pushing it
@@anima94 The only other good use of minerals i can think of is cannon rushing clem. Interceptors dont need a bank. Ever. They’re cheap.

@@snowdrop9810 Interceptors are not cheap across multiple engagements, especially fighting into Turrets and sometimes Liberators (or Fungal/Parasitic Bomb/Hydras), like they were here. They can seem cheap in lower leagues, where there's one fight and a winner is declared.
@@anima94 KingCobra used extra nexuses to increase production from stargates, too.
We need to know if king cobra does that normally.
I thought one extra nexus for probes or something. wtf was that? :o
I actually think the macro nexi are not as bad as they might first appear -
1. You don't need to build ~2 pylons for the extra supply that each nexus gives you (so effective cost only 200/0)
2. You could build 1 less late game stargate for the same production rate over time per nexus (cost then 50/-150)
3. Your Skytoss remax is quicker from the time you start the unit production if its just a few units
So technically we are all wasting 150 gas and getting slower carriers by not building extra nexi in the main lol

after that KingCobra played against MarineLorD and well, we know the results. It was awesome to see faces and hear screams those french commentators aspecialy after shit jokes about KingCobra`s apm
This is one of the reasons why I love starcraft: You don`t need to have 300-400+ apm to beat good/pro players (not that high apm helps, mind you!). Strategy, information, mind games ect can get you very far as well.

When you drop and kill an entire mineral line but the opponent has 7 Nexi you can rebuild that mineral line in like 3 production cycles.
The thing I love about these cheese players is that games become way more exciting than they have any right to be.
Terran not repairing vikings is like marines without medivacs. He is just flying around with 60% hp missing on his army against superior upgrades.

Something interesting you missed on the tempest runby: techtonic destabilizers doesn't work against flying terran buildings, because they are technically not buildings but flying units. Notice how the tempest balls are blue instead of orange.
pretty sure it's only because they're flying, the tempest's anti-air attack is *not* affected by tectonic destabilisers, the wording in the upgrade is specific to its anti-ground attack. You can also see how the tempest balls are always blue vs air and orange vs ground when upgraded
Watching Clem Play makes me feel better for my TvP. I just Suck vs toss jajajaja It feels like i dont know what to do, when, etc. Great games, i hate playing vs toss but love watching their funny styles jajaja
It is more like Clem disregarding opponent than show of toss force. Terran IS stronger race, faster, cheaper, more nimble and with better spellcasters. Clem knows how to deal with pro tosses, and they don't do this kind of stuff (because it is stupid and if Clem knew what he is against he would crush Cobra - just like cannon rushing, it works only against weaker players, but if you try cannon rush Serral or Reynor - you are dead. This kind of tactics is only good on ladder). All that said - this kind of match is so much more entertaining than usual Clem match.
Wait wtf. Watch Protoss micro starting at 5:44 uhh ... its horrible, like anti micro. Intentionally separating 2 voids from the fight, randomly focus firing buildings instead of marines right underneath. He should have won right there but he threw.

KingCobra plays rather nice, but he does have some problems. His carrier pushes are rarely supported by ground, either units, or cannons and batteries. Also, he never warps in some ground runbys to clear AA turrets or bases. Phoenix is of little use in a pure skytoss army, they should have been used to raid workers. Tempests do work great in skytoss, also voidrays are decent for support and tanking.
Why wouldn’t Clem go for anti armor missile against all those aggressive carriers? Not back seating but it seems like a good call to me but I’m sure there’s some hidden reason it’s not that good.
I feel like if Cobra pushed as soon as that 3/2 kicked in, he would have steamrolled clem in that second game.

That second game looked like every late game TvP 2v2 I've ever played... and with no teleporting BC's, you are dead. That simple.

The best way to engage carriers with vikings is to split them in to two control groups of 18, attack in, splitting the attacks from the middle to the outside, each groups kills a carrier in two shots- but, the carriers will go down no matter how many vikings go down.
I was watching Clem, and it seemed to me he kited way too much between volley, while taking interceptors hits all along. Just a miss-micro engagement!
When I see a BO3 cast taking a whole hour I know I'm in for a treat of pro bullshit.

@@samuelhaines3685 oh! So it only works for special (ie tournament) replays, right? It bugs me that only the default replay overlay shows control groups, I have seen PiG show control groups with this overlay but I don't think I've seen him cast any ladder game replays while showing them. :(
After Clem won the first game I found myself showing the screen a middle finger as I always do when I defend Toss cheese 😅
