Tim Engler is probably the most knowledgeable man I have ever meet. He treats everyone the same. We spend a day on the dyno and he explains everything in ways that really make ot simple to understand.
Great video with Tim and the history of Engler Machine and Tool. Tim is definitely one of those in the industry that you want on your side. Wish the industry could do more to honor these men and women who have dedicated their lives for all in the sport. 👍👍
Thanks T-Mez. Tim is the Smoky Yunick of Tractor pulling and Injection. What a story a company not making him parts because he was a competing with one of said company's customers.
Excellent review Tim is a highly humble gentlemen and is the Smokie Yunick of today. Tim experiecially Speaks from EXPERIENCE of driving a Sprint Car or Tractor Vehicle therfore can truly understand the racers imput in desires or challenges and then creating a solution. Truly a MODERN DAY HERO. and THANK YOU T MEZ for an in depth interview ..
I have known Tim for over 40 years. Started out selling him parts when I was 18 years old and eventually worked on his #73 sprint car. I am still honored to call him a good friend! Thanks, Thomas, for this awesome video!
Thomas amazing video my friend..Wow I had no idea that Tim's shop was so capable and responsible for doing almost everything in house ..being a tool and die Machinist my whole life I understand the importance of being able to control everything what a huge advantage.Quality, lead time etc..what a class act Tim is. being able to sit down and conversate with him is even more of an advantage..thanks for such a great piece ..
This was so interesting. So grateful that you can show us the behind the scenes of racing. I am in my glory. I always had a interest in how stuff is built and operate 👍
Love tims old school approach to new technology and seems willing to share that knowledge with others. Amazing guy and thanks for the show TMez. Love the channel!
@tmezTv Will you be watching the High Limits showcase from the Motorplex on the 28th, 29th and 30th this month? I will be there on the 28th as we are a support division with Speedcars. Not sure about going to the other 2 nights. Tickets are virtually sold out from what I hve heard. I really appreciate your content. It's not easy posting all the time. I don't think it would be hard for you to find a drive over here in the West.
I was at Tommy Reitz shop years ago, and he had one of the first 3" Englers to be used on a 360. At the time, I had a 3" Crower on my 480 big block and everyone thought it was huge. Tim is a true innovator. Great to see an inside look at the business. The tractor stuff was amazing.
Thomas, if you get the chance, ask Tim to tell you about qualifying. At Eldora at least if I'm remembering correctly, I believe that was where it was at and his trick, he used to qualify faster to get a better time. Or at least it's the story I heard back here in Minnesota i was always curious if it was true or not. And if he did actually do it, I was curious if it helped and and if he did it, but he doesn't want to people know you could just put down, yes, it worked or something like that.
32,600 dyno pulls in 2 1/2 years... Mind. Fucking. Blown. 🤯
This was a great video, Tmez. Hopefully you can do more like this within the industry.
Crazy!

I’m actually curious why is it called a ford motor if he builds every other part of it?
He is using the FR9 ford cylinder head which is the head use on a nascar cup motor.
