Good video. I used to use AEG in the UK where it's cold. I emigrated to Hong Kong permanently in 2017. On my UK gas pistol I aimed carefully as green gas was expensive at $17 for a can. Here in HK it's cheap at $3USD per can so I went full gas. I'm still a careful shooter except in a push. The problem with ammunition exists still though. (2 long pistol, 4 regular high capa magazines). In that there's cheaters and with an AEG you can simply 'classic airsoft them' into calling their hit with a storm of BBs. Yesterday's Sunday game there were three cheaters. I expended a whole gas magazine going after his fingers he still didn't call it. End of the game his hands looked like they'd been stung by wasps. Similarly the HPA kid encountered another one and put well over 50 into him before he called it.
In Canada we have propane tank/camp gas adaptors that can fill magazines. I think a company called airsoft innovations used to make them. I've been out of the game for a while. Wanting to return back but so few fields and games in Canada now
Feel you on the hopup crap shoot. Even found that there is absolutely a bed in period for certain buckings; the difference it makes is minimal for some but drastic for others. 12:30 THANK YOU. I figured this out a couple years ago and it's amazing how no one talks about it. It just so happened I was wearing my glasses that correct this and the image because oddly clear like magic when I figured it out lol
One more pro i would like to add is trigger response, most stock aegs take forever to fire compared to gbb. I love running pistol only at indoor fields.
I was watching this video out of pure boredom waiting for my friend to load Helldivers 2, and the fact that the red dot on my HK VP9 starbursts cuz of my astigmatism is something I did NOT expect to learn from an airsoft video. Thank you for the random nugget of knowledge!
Sharing my experience here as a novice GBB user, I own a WE Tech XM177 that I bought after reading and watching videos on it, huge selling point to me was the amount of compatible and available aftermarket parts, so far I have 4 mags, 2x 30rd and 2x 20rd, I'll most likely buy 1 more each to have 6 total alongside the recommended speedloader mentioned here. I don't get to play alot (once or twice a month) because the grounds are also used by firemen and law enforcement for training purposes. I know that WE's are a lower end GBB brand, but considering the compatibility of it with alot of aftermarket parts and affordability, I don't regret buying it. Planning on buying the KWA Mk.23 SOCOM and TM LAM as my secondary!
Little speed loader tip, M4 gbbr mags can be filled super easy with the pistol loader adapter, , just tilt the speed loader slightly up and the bbs will feed smoothly into mags. This does depend on how still your magazine springs are but this method work better than any custom adapter on my TM MWS mags and Guns Modify P mags.
Honestly for larp, I’d rather just use a EBBR. A lot of people think they’re crap, and a lot of them might be crap, but I’ve put my Bolt AKS74U through a lot, and it still shoots like the day I got it. Relatively low maintenance, and kicks honestly harder than the GBBRs I’ve experimented with.
MTW user here: getting a decent red dot makes that fun ever more wicked. The clapped out guns used by the folks at my local field are no match for my superior aiming abilities. Also, gas guns are fun. I need to buy one again. I shouldn’t have sold the one I had.
To add to the sights, Primary Arms has an extensive line of real steel-capable sights and lifetime warranty. Highly recommend for airsoft and your budget.
@@cillblinton8181 first half talks about reloading mags, snipers and shotguns have to deal with those same issues with having to reload mags. It's definitely applicable to other platforms buddy

While not the best RDS, the VISM SPD is a decent choice for budget minded players. It also has a solar panel on top that will allow for nearly unlimited play while outdoors, some users of the sight tape off some of the solar panel because it becomes too bright. I've found these sights for around $80 to $100 in the states. Also, another excellent video!
I've never done airsoft in my life but I use a SIG Romeo MSR on my 5.56 chambered AR, it's an excellent red dot with the elevated rail and dust covers and you really wont get any better for the price. Accurate enough to ding 8 inch plates consistently at 100 yards, so it really comes down to how accurate your gas gun is
I used to run a variety of gbbrs when i lived in florida (removed the worry of winder and batteries getting rained out), but to date my favorite setup was a VFC URGI 14.5, used .32s, and a 60$ comp4 cloned optic. 4x 30rd mags was enough to get me through most of the matches since I could easily land any shots within 150ft with 1 or 2 tries.
Flapped pouches are highly underrated. If you are gonna be on your belly at any point, you will be greatfull that you have those flapped pouches. This was a fantastic video and content.
Don't know anything about airsoft, just stumbled in drunkenly and was glad to see Americans shoot with something other than firearms. Too bad we don't have simulated bar fights with plastic knives here in Finland. Cheers!
This was actually the most engaging video on UA-cam I've watched in years hand down, so many tips and tricks that I will be playing around with for later. 👍
Even though I'm an AEG user and not a GBB user, I found myself spamming a LOT less when I switched to 0.36g and zero'd my Holosun with an incredible hop setup. I used to go through 4+ 150rd midcaps during a 20-30 minute infinite life pickup game, now I go through like 2 mags. Also the price difference going above 0.32g means I'm saving a fair amount of money.
I live in Brazil. Prices here are insane for airsoft (tax for imports, inflation and exchange difference skyrocketed in the last years). GBB rifles are practicaly inexistent in fields. Many stores bring 1 or 2 once in a while for the sake of collectors and they are gone fast. Spare mags are equally rare. Now, GBB pistols, on the other hand are MUCH more present and cheap. You can easily get any major common model with surplus mags. That makes me LOVE playing CQB with gbb pistols. I go for 2 pistols in my belt (yeah, like a modern John Wayne), one on each hand and a vest full of mags. That makes hunting in CQB way more fast. I can move faster and aim 2 points of rush at the same time. And... for the sake of training for self defense, well... we live in urban environment. A pistol is all you will ever need in real life... I would love to use GBBRs but there is just not a scene here for it sadly... I really think airsoft is made for CQB. Rifles are gorgeous and i love them. But in airsoft they are much more weight in the hand for what they really do. There are AEG players here claiming their DMRs can reach 90 meters, 100 meters... I call it bulshit. AIrsoft is only reliable at 50 meters tops. More than that is just luck and compensation. All the rushes in this video are about what? 20, 30 meters? There is no reason to engage with a rifle other than looking badass (good reason tho). But a pistol in those distances makes you much more lighter and effective...
hehehe seeing that grey/silver reddot on the mp2a1(uzi) just made my day . i am using a very similar looking "ultradot"...have it for more then twenty year´s ...though now its mounted on an lct as val ;) best reddot i ever used.
I seriously enjoy your content - I have 5 GBBRs and enjoy playing airsoft with them compared to AEGs where it’s just spray and pray. Much better realistic play style. Keep up the good work guys 🎉
For optics, I've found that the Aimpoint CompM4 (aka M68 CCO) is perfect, though the price is way too high to justify it (my experience was with an issued one). The Sig Romeo7 is a fantastic clone that costs 5-6x less at just under $200. It's a bit bigger and heavier than a micro dot like the Romeo5, but oh man does it make a world of difference. Also great for GWOT larping if that's your thing.
Just added a note to the description- we actually missed that one as we were focusing on the micro dot profile, but we agree, the Romeo 7S is another great optic for the price.
Also, when you're working on aiming figure out which eye is your dominant eye. I dunno how common or uncommon it is, but some people are cross eye dominant. This means that your dominant eye (what your brain uses for your main vision) is on the opposite side as your dominant hand. Me for example am right handed, but my LEFT eye is my dominant eye. This means I either have to shoot lefty, close my left eye when aiming, or focus hard on what I am aiming at and using my right eye. There are ways to train your eye to work harder when aiming but they take dedication and I haven't seen any real evidence of how long it lasts or how much it actually does.
What I usually do is get an hpa adaptor and use midcaps or lowcaps, a lot less gas mags to worry about filling or leaking, can probably comes out cheaper than buying 5 gas mags here in Canada. Not the most milsim set up but it's a lot less headache. Only downside is that only WE GHK KC02 and MWS have adaptors, VFC have a dual coupled mag with a 300rd hi cap. Maybe the Tapp GHK adaptors can be modified to fit in other WA spec guns but I didnt have the balls to do it 😂
GBB ammo capacity is not much a problem in Taiwan. Because in most of the airsoft game,if you got hit, you are out from this game So many times i found i can't even empty all the mags on my plate carrier (only 4 mags)after a day. Most of my bbs are being wasted on zeroing target
you had me saying "NOO WAYYYY" when u showed u have the same propane adapter that i do and so happen to have the one thing (the cover) i questioned myself before even watching this if i ran it in a game (havent played much) if it would break and welp thank you 😁
Quick suggestion: Firefield makes great real steel optics that are very budget friendly. I use the XL for my SCAR-L GBB and it has held zero for about 10 games.
Watching the video not knowing what field he plays. Sees the Polish Mig-21, :O Don't know if you are local to 757 but im always glad to see the local field.
For Gas, I carry a single bottle of Abbey Predator gas (red gas) mini 270ml in either an abdo pouch or the cargo pocket on my trousers, find this makes life a lot easier for me
Damn my aim is _so_ bad and I'm a broke boi so even as an AEG user I'm carrying around multiple speed loaders. My one and only full GBB loadout is PP-2000 + Glock 18C which I only have one standard size mag each for. I've mastered the art of quickly finding cover to reload and being sneaky to get kills with limited ammo by being at close range in unexpected areas to mitigate my piss poor aim. Tbh for sights, quite a few airsoft grade ones are "good enough". I have a decent collection of $20-40 sights and they are all at least a decent improvement over irons.
If you want to talk about ammo management you should look into HvZ and competitive nerf haha. Even half darts are .50 caliber diameter and 38mm long, and the average mag size is 15 rounds. There are no effective speedloaders for these types of ammo, so if you want to reload mags during downtime you have to do it one round at a time by hand. Some players just resort to carrying a ton of mags, or maybe higher capacity mags capable of carrying between 22 and 50 rounds, but the higher capacity drums start to get very cumbersome to carry and reload.
I don't know how hot it gets where you're located, but down here in GA after leaving one of Comrade's adapters in an elastic mag pouch for a day in the heat it deformed the adapter rendering it useless. So be careful with it lol.
I have Astigmatism, and I really like my Holywarrior XPS3 clone. It's kinda of steep at £150, but I have no blurring issues as I do with the cheap £25 opting I was using before
To some it’s dumb but those stick reloads are the fastest to get to reload you just need to integrate them to 30-40bbs and lock that push bit firm, they’re slim ik where they won’t get in the way
USE G&G SPEEDLOADER with their adapter, they are perfect size for ghk mag even with DH cnc feed lip, they are small and easy to carry, by far the easiest to reload with and they are strong, never broke been using them since they ship it out with their gun
Interesting info. Using 30rd mags just seems like a good idea if you have any intention of using a real carbine in your life, you will be at a disadvantage, especially in CQB but a challenge is a good thing.

Wanting to return back but so few fields and games in Canada now
@@fp2231 Sure but Canada is cold AF :D , here's the weird thing. Camping gas unless you buy the really big cans is more expensive than green gas :D
@@Mr_LH1980buy 20lb propane tanks used for propane grills. You can buy a adapter to refill the smaller bottles using the big 20lb tank.
Between robbing banks you helped me make my GBBR better. Thanks, Neil McCauley!
I don't even play airsoft and just watched this entire video
The one american airsoft channel that has class ☕️
And a comment section that surprisingly isn't filled with real gun jokes
Feel you on the hopup crap shoot. Even found that there is absolutely a bed in period for certain buckings; the difference it makes is minimal for some but drastic for others. Taken to just keeping a random supply of buckings and nubs to try in stuff to see what that replica likes. Anyone who tells you a certain bucking is the defacto best is... well a typical airsofter.
Great humour, great info.
I’m not even an airsofter, but great media transcends hobbies
12:30 THANK YOU. I figured this out a couple years ago and it's amazing how no one talks about it. It just so happened I was wearing my glasses that correct this and the image because oddly clear like magic when I figured it out lol
Really good quality video 👍
I just bought a Kc 02 because I got peer pressured into the world of GBBRs so I’ll be taking this advice with gratitude
One more pro i would like to add is trigger response, most stock aegs take forever to fire compared to gbb. I love running pistol only at indoor fields.
got myself a old real Eotech 552 for 300€, after my Mp7 gbb killed 2 clones. Best decision i've ever made in airsoft. It's just so nice.
Until you try an aimpoint
@@planetcaravan2925 tried an acro on a glock its also phenomenal 👍🏻

@@MrCooper89 hahah, youre a sales gut for eotech?

Everything is so in-depth yet easily explained... Great video !
I am a real gun guy and got lured into this video by the lovely XM177. What a nice finish for an airsoft. Looks like so much fun! great vid
MTW user here: getting a decent red dot makes that fun ever more wicked. The clapped out guns used by the folks at my local field are no match for my superior aiming abilities.
Also, gas guns are fun. I need to buy one again. I shouldn’t have sold the one I had.
Love the retro guns and that flat range joke was solid lmao
Having a Mig 21 to use as cover on an airsoft field is cool af
To add to the sights, Primary Arms has an extensive line of real steel-capable sights and lifetime warranty. Highly recommend for airsoft and your budget.
I use a mag adapter for mine and they work great. Using Aeg mags makes it so much better
I have a Sig Romeo MSR. It works pretty good and has nutty battery life. If it works so nicely on my 9mm carbine, it's probably solid for bbs.
90% of this information can and should be applied to any other platform. Fantastic video!👍
the first half of the video is entirely information exclusive to gbbs
@@cillblinton8181 first half talks about reloading mags, snipers and shotguns have to deal with those same issues with having to reload mags. It's definitely applicable to other platforms buddy
And today i just learned something new about my beloved GBB guns. Thanks a lot, i have some adjustments to make to my small arsenal. 🙂
Well i just learnt that i have astigmatism through that graph you showed, thank you kind sir
This was one hell of a way to find out you can have astigmatism and 2020 vision. I took pride in being the only one of my parents and siblings with perfect vision, too. That "welcome to the club" hit personal 😅
Accurate enough to ding 8 inch plates consistently at 100 yards, so it really comes down to how accurate your gas gun is
I just stumbled onto your channel and it really makes me want to invest into more GBBRs....love your videos.
Extra tips: smokes, use of dead ground and all those good battle drills ;)
I'm working on some minor servicing to get a kwa mp7 back to working order, and this was very reassuring of my time spent
I have a GBB MP9 that I love the one thing that a GBB does is can cause fear especially in indoor fields. the sound alone is enough
Loving the retro AR play!
An incredible amount of advice and information!! I haven't airsofted in years but this makes me want to get back into it. TY SO MUCH
Astigmatism is pretty much seeing double with one eye. I have it but the glasses did most of it.
Finally, a good video to eat to
Personally I’d recommend the pinty sight used it for a while and I don’t have any complaints got it on Amazon for $20
hehehe seeing that grey/silver reddot on the mp2a1(uzi) just made my day . i am using a very similar looking "ultradot"...have it for more then twenty year´s ...though now its mounted on an lct as val ;) best reddot i ever used.
Vortex optics are also a great choice for Airsoft due to the warranty. If they get damaged at all you can get a replacement no questions asked.
Unrelated but the fact that airsoft field just has a mig-21 at 4:34 is pretty neat
Maybe the Tapp GHK adaptors can be modified to fit in other WA spec guns but I didnt have the balls to do it 😂
Every red dot is going to have parallax when you're looking at a table surface that's 6 inches in front of the optic.
The 60° Flamingo Bucking Gen 3 (~10€) is also a very good option for 70 - 80m with 0.32g - 0.40g BBs
GBB ammo capacity is not much a problem in Taiwan.
Because in most of the airsoft game,if you got hit, you are out from this game
So many times i found i can't even empty all the mags on my plate carrier (only 4 mags)after a day.
Most of my bbs are being wasted on zeroing target
Woah, Catgut! Blast from the past. FPAir for life 🤙
FOOF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@TehG3A3 it's a freaking reunion in here
What eye-pro you rocking? Love the retro look! Great video, wanted to get back into airsoft and really want to run a GBB Gordy inspired rifle.
I use a surplus military ballistic goggle and protective shooting glasses underneath and also shooting headphones take no risks with ears and eyes
Honestly i really enjoy using cheaper AEGs and doing them up, but i got my grubby mitts on a GBB a friend let me use for a while, theyre so nice....
I consider this a “certified classic” now.
Ive seen this video too many times. 😂
you had me saying "NOO WAYYYY" when u showed u have the same propane adapter that i do and so happen to have the one thing (the cover) i questioned myself before even watching this if i ran it in a game (havent played much) if it would break and welp thank you 😁
Quick suggestion: Firefield makes great real steel optics that are very budget friendly. I use the XL for my SCAR-L GBB and it has held zero for about 10 games.
Watching the video not knowing what field he plays. Sees the Polish Mig-21, :O
Don't know if you are local to 757 but im always glad to see the local field.
hey thats my design in the description. crazy!
For Gas, I carry a single bottle of Abbey Predator gas (red gas) mini 270ml in either an abdo pouch or the cargo pocket on my trousers, find this makes life a lot easier for me
Vector is quite the sweatshop firearm optic company
Just wanted you to know the South Park underpants gnome reference didn't go unappreciated 🤣
One of my favorite references but I missed it in this video 😢
Best airsoft channel on UA-cam
It's kinda of steep at £150, but I have no blurring issues as I do with the cheap £25 opting I was using before
Good video, I run no sights but I think you have talked me into trying a red dot again.
Thank you for the thingiverse link to the cap.
Channels like yours should have an option of automatically giving a like if you are subscribed. Great work mate.
Hey. Can you put out more gameplay vids? You have a great, positive personality and I think its what airsoft youtube needs. It gets tiring when you cant recommend any channel that does not have awful stuff or just shitty/fake behaviour for drama and clicks. Your vids prob show the most average experience a guy can have on a field, which is suprisingly refreshing content and good for showing beginners.
Its oddly wholesome that this channel feels like its for actual airsofters instead for kids with a attention span of the average tiktoker.
Anyways your content ended my off season and I got interested in playing again after a year. Thanks for that!
About buckings: Begadi has some of the best custom buckings, however they're a German company and I believe their stuff is only available in the EU and England
Fantastic video! the info and pacing kept me interested. keep up with content like this and you will surely gain a lot of subscribers.
In my experience even optics that are just as cheap as "airsoft" optics but not marketed for airsoft are much nicer
I have a romeo 5 on a real akm in 762x39 and its fantastic, only about $100 new.
