    Crochet Rasta Hat
    If you want to learn how to crochet a slouchy hat pattern, then you come to the right place. This Pan African beanie is super easy to make. It all starts with a simple granny square. This hat is perfect for men or women.
    We will increase row going around the granny square until we reach our desired size. Then we will stop increasing rows and work in even stitches. This will create the sides of the hat. Once done we will work on the brim of your hat.
    Materials
    Worsted weight yarn
    5.5 hook

    I'm confused. Between the increase rows and switching back to black. Was there some missing instruction? How many rounds should we have before we stop increasing?

    Sis, this was really good. I have been looking for someone who can do a Rasta hat with detail instructions. I really appreciate it. For those who say the hat was not big enough they just need to add rows. If it's not wide enough you can get yarn that stretches. Peach & Blessings 🇬🇾

    I dont know why but mine came out to small. I might need to do more increases.

    • @LittlejohnsYarn
      @LittlejohnsYarn  4 роки тому +2

      everyone's tension is different. Do one more increasing rows or go up a hook size. If you use acrylic yarn, then you can save the hat that you already made by steaming the hat aka "killing the fabric'. Spray your hat with water, place a towel over top of it, then iron your hat. Be very careful because once stretched it cannot be unstretched. You'll be able to stretch the hat to your size 🥰

    I don't know what I did wrong but the orginial grany square was about 3 1/2 inches not 5 1/2 inches and that makes a big difference when making a man's hat.

    • @LittlejohnsYarn
      @LittlejohnsYarn  3 роки тому +1

      Your tension may be tighter than mine. Go up a hook size. That should work.
