I was super stoked to see this DIY since I’ve been drooling over that shelf for a while.
Then you showed a screenshot from “The Honest Carpenter” and I was like “Holy ***^! I know that guy!” - He worked with my husband at a bookstore for several years, and then decided to go into carpentry.
I remember being excited for him, because it just seemed so natural to him and he seemed so passionate about it. Glad to see he’s still out there going strong!
BTW - your shelf replica looks great to me! Might even try my hand at it when I have a little more time to work on a project!

Girl you did an amazing job. I admire your skills. I can barely use a hammer without hurting myself. That looks perfect to me. And you saved big bucks. Congratulations on a job well done

Nice work. I love what you put on the shelves, too. It's not my style, but I love how you recreated it - and accidently switching it up!

We are currently in lockdown here in Melbourne Australia & so far I’ve flipped 3 furniture pieces.. it’s so satisfying to see trash turn into treasure.

Gorgeous 😍, I would love to have a piece that awesome. I don't see you having a learning curve issue. And there were no bumps n bruises to see. You are extremely talented and skilled. Your piece is much more precious, as you built it with love and creativity. More "Can I Diy it for Cheaper"

Nice project! You can also get a good paint job on the edges of MDF if you give it two or three coats of sanding sealer before painting. If you use spray paint you'll get an almost glass like finish.

You did an amazing job on this project Danie. I can even see it in a bathroom, with towels, decorative baskets to hold stuff you don't want to see and a plant or two. Even a platform base or legs to make it taller....possibilities are endless just like your talent!
