I've been watching Dainty Diaries / Catherines ,videos now for about 7 / 8 months and I love her As I'm from Dublin myself I get her personally and her little saying. It's great when u tubers collaborate and mention each other. Absolutely love the table 😍
Came over from your collab partner's video and loved that you tried something new to you as we all learn by trying out new things. Your piece is lovely and next time you would use a scraper or putty knife to take off the finish that your stripper works on for you to then scrape off easily and then use steel wool with some spirits and wipe off to dry your piece. The best way you can keep that beautiful wood light is to either wax it with a white wax that you leave on for a few minutes then rub off depending on how light you want it to go and it will get into those groves to give it that awesome light Ness where you weren't able to sand down. Thank you for sharing your journey and I bet you'll be getting into more of these furniture flips once you see how your finished sealed piece turns out. Best of luck.
I am here from Catherine's channel I've watched her for a while now and love her projects. Your table is gorgeous and you have a long future ahead of you.
Amazing job it looks fantastic. Sanding furniture is no joke m, time consuming but the hard work is so worth it. I agree daintydiaries is fantastic her makeovers are amazing. I don’t know if you’ve watched a lady called Andrea from “pine and prospect home” she had used bleach and sunshine to lighten furniture which turned out so well. Hope you and your family have a great weekend.
Hi Liza, I recommend Briwax furniture wax. You can get a clear version of the wax (also comes in different colour stains) and you buff it on. We got ours from Amazon x
Such an amazing transformation Liza! Looks great! I’d highly recommend Osmo 3044 raw transparent. It doesn’t yellow or darken your furniture, if anything it may whiten/lighten it ever so slightly. I’ve used it on a raw oak top for my dressing table. Thanks again for sharing 💖
Looks great. White wax will put a protective coat on it and also lighten it a tiny bit more for you. I seen another youtuber use white wax on raw wood when she didn’t wanna use other polys or protective coats because it would darker the wood which is the same reason you don’t wanna use them either. You could also use a clear wax if you don’t want to lug hut en it anymore.
The sideboard turned out beautifully👌🏾. Liza, you're turning into an upcycling pro now😜. Do you still get a chance to ride the bike that you upcycled?? Great video my friend. Thank you so very for sharing, it was so much fun to watch 😁. Take care and have a wonderful weekend 🤗💕.
Hi ,I'm liking how your house and renovation, s are coming along,I'm loving the decor ,too your style seems to be evolving into some nice warm wood tones and natural tones with lots of white and touches of gold and black, I also follow an American vlogger called ox ma cenna she has a really unique cool style and does great thrifting...like you too have been doing....love your vlogs very inspiring...🙂👍❤

Over from Dainty dairies. You can usually find some beeswax to seal it maybe? I put it on my oak dining room table and it never darkened it so far. Love the piece

Here from Catherine's blog Dainty Diaries!
I recommend Vaseline as a finish. It won't darken the wood and gives a nice finish. Massage it on then buff it up.
Amazing! You’d pay a lot of money for something similar. Love how you’ve styled it with the basket too x
