That little bolt is 8mm. Honda uses metric fasteners. Btw, first thing you do is disconnect the negative battery terminal so you don’t have the damn beeping. Also keeps the airbag light from triggering.

@@2JuanTinajero Easy install, only issue is the navigation, not staying locked in. Radio signals are weak. Back up camera works fine.

So I have the same exact car as you how do I know if I have a factory amplifier? I just ordered mine.
You can take your key out of the ignition put it in spot above park there’s a little button in the top right push shit put your foot on the break and you’ll be able to slide it into manual one without having the key in the ignition and beeping

Robert Raw hey! So, I mainly use the Apple car play in my Honda. But when I was first trying it out, the Android has a lot more features for you. Example: it will legit let you watch UA-cam on your screen. Which is the coolest! And you can also download games for when you’re bored in the car. I don’t use it often but, I think it’s worth it.
So with iPhone it doesn’t let you watch UA-cam?
does this come with like an adapter to the steering wheel controls work?

where did you get your steering wheel cover? i know the 8th gen honda civic has a 14 inch wheel and it’s been so hard to find a steering wheel cover. I really like the one that is seen in this video. Also, thank you for making the vid, i’ve been wanting to replace mine and will use this for reference.

Great install!! Did the factory radio still work normal? I’ve seen a lot of other units where people said the radio would have a lot of static and wouldn’t work very well.
I don’t use the radio really. I always use my apps on my iPhone for music or podcasts. So I couldn’t really say.

i have a 08 honda coupe, the radio works perfectly fine but for some reason the bluetooth portion of it has no sound. would you know why this might happen?
You don’t have to turn on the car to shift it down just grab your key insert it in the small hole on top of your right shift nob and you’ll be able to press and shit all the way down with the car off and pull e brake first 👌👌😎 y’all welcome

Interested in a 2008 140k miles awaiting on the title any major things to fix on this or it’s pretty assuring a good vehicle
140k miles is nothing for these cars, just regular maintenance some issues may pop up from time to time(I've had a valve cover gasket and several o-rings leak, but those rubber parts fail with age. My AC compressor and alternator failed as well but those lasted 145k miles). The biggest issue was the cracked engine blocks but I believe they fixed that in the 2008 model

This could be the reason people have been experiencing some issues with the microphone. I’m not exactly sure. But I know with some people the mic is difficult to use

I installed mine last week, so far so good, not a single issue with the Unit, I had the backup camera too, is straight forward. 2008 Civic Si 👍🏼 Cons= Metal clips on the original unit broke not stereo related.
Everything so far has been great! No complaints yet! I was nervous it would somehow mess up with time but it’s been faithful!

1475inferno mines been working well! No problems really. I would just keep it out of direct sunlight to not over heat it.

I've read that Apple Carplay works best if your phone is connected via the USB cable. However, if USB cables are in your glove box can you realistically connect and operate your iphone? Are you driving with open glove box all the time? Would you have rerouted the USB cables if you did it over again?
I don’t use them that often but I can close the glove box. It hasn’t really changed much. I do wish I rerouted my microphone. Everyone tells me it’s kind of hard to hear me.

For what it's worth we drilled 1/2" hole in the removable plastic piece that sits below heating unit and next to cigarette lighter, put 3/8" gromet in hole and ran UBS through it from back of radio. Phone gets connects there and barely see any wires. The other 2 UBS are in glove box in case passenger wants to use them.

Is the volume hard to turn up and down since there isn't a knob?
Not difficult but you definitely have to look lol because I’ve reached over thinking I was touching the volume and I wasn’t even close lol knobs are way more convenient. But i don’t mind paying a bit more attention to finger placement. But definitely would prefer a knob.
quick question, does bluetooth work even if u arent on the bluetooth screen, ex. while using maps? because in the vid the song didnt play until ur bf tapped on the bluetooth
Taqadus yes! I’ll have it on several different screens and it’s all connected and linked. No problems! As soon as I get in my car it links.

Aw man, I never ran into that issue. Everything works here. Maybe if you feel everything is connected properly, you should maybe contact the manufacturer. Sorry man!

It connects to the head unit via Bluetooth and the head unit sends the signal to the speakers.

Hello, are you having any issues with the zlink? I’m on iOS14 and my zlink Apple CarPlay isn’t working... it keeps say “hardware err, no MFi #”... I haven’t seen an official update from Dasaita either...

Hey! Everything still works. The only thing that bugs me is the microphone for Bluetooth. People say it sounds a bit muffled. Other than that, no big issues. 👌🏼

Does Apple car play work without a hotspot wirelessly or is a hotspot required?
Hot spot isn’t required. It connects to your Bluetooth from your phone and essentially you’re just using your phone for the screen. It can work independently on the android version but the graphics are not great. And the GPS is in like another language and it tells you when you’re speeding. Lol but not in Apple CarPlay

Still going strong. I haven’t had any big issues. I’m gonna be replacing my speakers soon too so let’s see if anything changes with that installation. But nothing really problematic here!

How's the stereo holding up? Any problems?
Still holding up. But, my microphone seems to be giving me an issue. Some say it sounds like an echo when I connect phone calls. Some dont seem to mind. But no real issues. Since I have Apple car play, my phone connects to it twice. So, once initially and then again for the iPhone. It gets annoying but it’s still good. Hope that helps!

I’d try to get it down to 4K. I got mine for 3k but with all the work I’ve done, it’s added up to a saucy 7k. All worth it though.
You are better of buying a 8th SI for that much
I heard beeping it should not be. The negative on the battery should be disconnected before you remove the airbag sensor and disconnect the radio.

So I installed a dasaita unit in my car. Everything works perfectly. Only Issue I am having is microphone. Its too bad. People complaining that they are not able to hear me clearly. Voice is too low. Did you face this issue ?

Fixed it. Seems I bent one of the microscopic pins (acc power) when plugging in the harness. Lucky it didn't break.

looks great! i dont know how you can stand that steering wheel cover tho. i have the same one and couldn't stand it!. im removing the rubber core and going to stitch the honda wrap on the wheel.

So when you unhook your battery to work on your car how do you input the radio code back in? Is there a menu in the settings to input the radio code?
I don’t think you need one for this unit. For the original piece you needed a code of course. But I don’t remember needing to put one in for this one.

@@GreyHatStudio Yeah. I had to replace the battery before I installed this unit. And then, it needed one of course. But again, for this one I don’t think I removed the battery 🔋 so I can’t tell you if it needed one or not. I don’t think it does but of course I could be wrong. I’ve never had an issue though.

As long as it connects to your phone via Bluetooth you’re golden 👌🏼

MaxAster 1 the only thing I’ve noticed is that when it’s out in the sun too long it takes a sec to load the touch screen. Other than that not much to complain about.

So that Annoying sound of the key will stop there is one step everyone keeps on missing. In front on the auto lever there is a plastic small rectangle cap. Remove and insert key so you can shift the nob from parking to the first gear. No need to have your key stuck in the ignition
How’s the Apple CarPlay? I’ve heard a lot of bad reviews about it
I do have some issues with connection. It seems now that it chooses when to connect automatically to Apple car play. My Bluetooth is always on but it still kind of picks and chooses when to connect. It gets annoying.

Yes, it comes with an EQ. But shortly after I did replace all my speakers so now it sounds really nice.
How does the apply CarPlay work do you connect to a certain USB port in the radio or will it work by connecting to Bluetooth with an iPhone?
Once you pair the device via Bluetooth, it will always automatically connect when your iPhone is near it 👌🏼

@@BryanVahey It didn’t cut out completely. What would happen to me was the Bluetooth would link up sometimes a bit longer than usual. But it would always connect.

Zay Nevarez I didn’t. But there are places who can set that up for you if you wanted steering wheel controls for the audio.
Zay Nevarez if your car has steering wheel controls or rather buttons on it then they will work out of the box with this android car stereo, you can also reprogram them to do other things in the settings of the car stereo.

Simple Man I would have to install buttons to control the sound. It’s an old car. It never had buttons originally for radio/audio control.

Hi i want to buy this headunit for my 2008 honda civic si have you had any issues with this love the idea of having android apps but not loooking to drop $500 on a headunit thats only going to last a few months hope this isnt the case but i read bad reviews on google about this units touch screen and freezing apps please let me know how is yours working so far
mrflakotv hey ! So I’ve had it for a while now. I haven’t had any major issues with it. The only thing I’ve really noticed as far as freezing apps is when I would park in the street under direct sun for a while it’ll seem to slow down the reaction time for the apps. But the screen would be pretty hot. So I would suggest parking in a garage or under an awning of some kind. Other than that, the screen has been dependable to me.

That’s not the same unit , these are all on an android platform with different builds , this expensive 500$ one is a quality build . Similar to building a PC .

It does! When it initially turns on, it starts with android. Then it connects to Apple play. You can switch between the two.

I still have it and it still sounds great. As far as loading time I would say front starting, it takes about 10 seconds.

how long did it take to get delivered from Amazon. I've been looking at this exact unit since March. I'm from NYC and I'm just not sure how the Rona will affect delivery from China. Did it come sooner than the time it said? I'm curious to know if Amazon has it in their fulfillment Center so I can get it sooner.

They have a EBAYstore, but the reviews and comments on the unit and delivery are so fucked that it had me second guess whether or not buying it was a good idea. There are a bunch of other knockoffs to this unit that are price within the $100 range , but this unit is curiously interesting for me being that it's a specs are very new in hardware for a vehicle.

Hey! No worries lol. It’s going great! The only issue I’ve come across is people saying I sound far away when I use the Bluetooth for my calls. Other than that It’s been pretty solid.

@@Joeyboy602 hhmmm.... i would say a solid 8. It has updated my car a lot. Being able to listen to my music without an auxiliary cord is really handy and having GPS on a big screen 📺 is super handy too. That GPS screen is legit. And, while using the android function, I can watch UA-cam. I def think it’s worth it
@@bearfruitstyle3152 have you had to change your battery yet? If so how’d that work? Because I know whenever I disconnect my battery for whatever reason the factory unit makes me type in my dash code in order to access the radio and what not. Is that just completely removed with this dash?
