I am a cowboys fan. however, the Falcons red uniforms were so cool. Wish they never changed the red falcons colors.
Texas Stadium field was seriously crowned ..wow
The 1985 NFL season was a end of a era for Tom Landry, Tony Dorsett, Randy White, Ed "Too Tall" Jones and Danny White
Came for the football, stayed for the commercials.
Dan Henning’s refusal to put a shotgun offense and the QB deep drop philosophy ultimately did him in especially the 46 defense.
Hard to believe the 1985 Cowboys were 6-2 halfway through the season. Thanks for posting this, Richard!
Ken Whisenhunt coached the Arizona Cardinals from 2007- 2010
Talk about maybe one of the most PERFECT touch passes you'll ever see at 38:46 mark. They were such a great screen pass team back in the Landry era.
One of my favorite Dorsett TD runs at 1:00:25
Still featured as the main back until Herschel Walker came along and then the touches for Dorsett became less and less the next year.
Gerald Riggs was a very good player on a bad Atlanta Falcons team in the mid 80's
U must be out of your mind
@@lonnieadams8180 Why did you say that the Falcons did suck in the mid-80s
True that uniform is awesome.
Nice. This was one I was looking for!
Wow 1985 first time Falcons played at Dallas in regular season. In same conference too
Awesome that you posted both CBS double header games! Johnny from The Karate Kid was the equalizer's son!? Who knew!?
Rich you are the Goat!
DAMN, Archer had one hell of an arm.
Compared to a 12yr old yes otherwise garbage
Gat DANG Dorsett was fast!
Shame on Atlanta for changing their uniforms
A truer comment has never been stated 🏈🍺🍺😊😁😊🤙🤙🤙
Outstanding post, do you happen to have the 1986 Philadelphia at Atlanta game?
I don't have this game yet.
Falcons defensive back played for the Cowboys in 1995.
The Atlanta Falcons never psychologically recovered from that "CRUSHING" playoff loss to the cowgirls a few seasons earlier.
Terrible injury to Scully early in the game, reminiscent of Joe Theismann’s broken leg which would happen a few weeks after this in week 11 of 1985.
Strangely enough, my high school made knee braces mandatory for varsity linemen and starting jv linemen in 85. The next year, all linemen and linebackers had to wear them.
Important side note: in 1985, only one other stadium in Texas used the same turf as the Cowboys did....
That was a very unfortunate injury for Scully, because Gerald Riggs was knocked right into the back of his leg.
I watched that game. My brother was a MEGA Giants fan. I was the Falcons fan . Funny thing is we are born and raised in Massachusetts.
Nicely designed play at 29:35
Hills touchdown would've been overturned in todays replay era
Yes his knee was down
David Archer 👍🏽👍🏽
Dave Archer was garbage too
06:08 YIKES!
October 27, 1985
